These are some really great picks! Thank you. My library does have the "Forgotten Garden" so I'll start with that. Thanks again.

Miss - Great, when will you be reading this? Also I can't wait till the library finally has The Tea Rose.. I put a hold on it so hopefully the person that has it brings it back early :)

I hope they do Hayley, and since i've just finished the book i was reading, i can start on Ain't She Sweet? by Susan Elizabeth Phillips right away, just let me know if it's alright with you.

Thanks for the picks Fran!
I was planning to read Halfway to the Grave for another challenge, so picking this one from your list felt like cheating. I checked out the others and doing a buddy read sounds like fun. Although both books look good (I love regency romances), the fact that Love Is Blind was checked out at the library and Conversion was a free download made my decision easy. Let me know when you start Conversion!

That's ok, I've always got plenty to read anyway. I know for me half the fun of this group is choosing the books so if you have time I would love more recommendations!

Fran | 12278 comments OK Gigi- Hope you like something- if not, you know I would be happy to pick some more for you :)

1. lengthy tbr- The Tea Rose- keep hearing so much about this book and it is long!
2. shorter tbr- Understood- I liked this one, can't go wrong with Maya Banks
3. steadily gaining- The Girl Who Chased the Moon- super loved this book!

1. cresting rise- Darkfever by Karen Marie Moning- Gigi, I just finished this book today and omg I LOVED it- can't wait to read the rest of the series!!
2. reaching summit- The Prize or The Secret by Julie Garwood- author of the month and I loved both of these books- humor and love and great heroines
3. It's all downhill from here- Fever by Kimberly Dean. This hottie was recommended to me last month and I really liked it- short but hot story- I should get a fever like this girl!

Buddy Reads- I am going to do a buddy read with Sara and read Conversion by S.C. Stephens- recommended to me last month and looks awesome- free download. Or how about Love Is Blind by Lynday Sands.

Happy Reading!!!

OK- so I just saw that you have a different tbr than the regular one for this challenge so here are 3 different choices for the first 3- sorry!!!

1. Prince Charming
2. Menage (super triple loved)
3. Anyone But You (my first Jennifer Crusie and I really enjoyed it)

Fran, you're the best! Awesome recs! I'm probably going to try to get to at least 3 of them this month. I'm going to read The Secret for the Julie Garwood FAC. I've just downloaded The Girl Who Chased the Moon from the library and I put the The Tea Rose on hold from the library. I've just added the others to my TBR--Fever does look really good, as well as the others! Thanks Fran!

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Looks like the last pick is in, so time for stats!

Ward managed to hold on to top author honors again, while our two newcomers last month (Julie James and Jodi Picoult) dropped down. However, this month's AOM made a strong showing to place third. And in slightly strange news, Nora Roberts tied with herself (J.D. Robb) in fourth.

1. J.R. Ward - 17
2. Richelle Mead - 13
3. Julie Garwood - 12
4. Nora Roberts - 10
4. J.D. Robb - 10
4. Jeaniene Frost - 10
4. Karen Marie Moning - 10
8. Diana Gabaldon - 9
8. Kelley Armstrong - 9
8. Nalini Singh - 9
8. Sherrilyn Kenyon - 9
8. Kresley Cole - 9
13. Suzanne Collins - 7
13. Lisa Kleypas - 7
13. Stephanie Meyer - 7
13. Jennifer Crusie - 7

Total recommendations for the month were 603.

message 366: by Diane ~Firefly~ (last edited Feb 03, 2011 09:02PM) (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Since the categories to pick have started changing each month, we seem to get a wider spread of titles. Outlander is enjoying a resurgence, that might be due to picking longer books. And two new books to the top (A Game of Thrones and Sh*t My Dad Says are probably due to long and short length). Interestingly enough, Richelle Mead had two titles tied for fifth.

1. Darkfever - Karen Marie Moning - 9
1. Naked in Death by J.D. Robb - 9
3. Outlander by Diana Gabaldon - 7
3. Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost - 7
5. Dark Lover by J.R. Ward - 6
5. The Book Thief by Markus Zusak - 6
5. Succubus Blues by Richelle Mead - 6
5. Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead - 6
9. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins - 5
9. The Host by Stephanie Meyer - 5
9. A Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin - 5
9. Sh*t My Dad Says by Justin Halpern - 5

11 books had 4 recommendations each.

Hi Tatiana!
I finished Succubus Blues and I have to say, I really enjoyed it. I don't usually like UF books and I wasn't so crazy about the idea of a succubus, but I liked Georgina almost immediately. It ultimately earned four stars from me and I'll definitely continue the series. Thanks again for the recs!

Jane (PS) | 24334 comments Hi AlbertJenn

I've just finished Lover Enshrined! I'm so glad I got back on this series. Whilst I won't rate the book a 5 stars (I think 4 stars), there were parts I loved and I didn't have to push myself this time round. The break from the series worked in my favour. (I had tried to read this book in Sep'09 and just gave up after 100 pages.)

So thanks Jenn!! (I hope to read Tempted by Two sometime toward the end of the month...)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments Hayley - I finished Bachelor On The Prowl today. Thanks for getting it off my TBR. It was just ok, I found the heroine kind of wishy-washy and the story seemed a bit rushed.

If I get time after my other challenges are done, I'll try and get in The Kept Woman as well.

message 387: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments Lady Kati-finished Wake late last night. Gave it 4 stars but really probably 3 1/2 I think. It was a quick read and I really liked it up until the last fifty pages when it seemed like she speeded through how Janie and Cabel gained control and made all the rich people bad. The whole field trip sequence was awesome and the hint at other people with her "gift". I would definitely read the next one!

Melissa ** | 544 comments Rena - I finished Addicted over the weekend. The first half of the book was good and kept me interested but I once I figured what was happening it got kind of boring. It did however have a happy ending and got me smiling at the end. I'm glad you picked Addicted it was a type of book I would have never considered before and I'm sure I will try it again.

I have started The Body Finder and it looks very promising.
