Aynge (ayngemac) | 1202 comments Why?

message 2: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Because where I live there is no other way to get police for anything -- such as when there are drag races on the street in the middle of the night outside my house.

Phil | 11837 comments I called when I saw a fire in the desert a few hundred yards from a development.

message 4: by Janice (new)

Janice (jamasc) A few months ago, my client and I were sitting in my office when we heard a bang. We thought it was a fender bender. I'm on the 2nd floor and have a big window that overlooks the parking lot. We looked out and saw a vehicle on fire in the parking lot right outside my window. I called 911.

The best part was that the firemen who responded were definitely eye candy!

message 5: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Don't get any ideas, Janice.

There wouldn't be much point in me dialling 911, nothing would happen.

message 7: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) What about 211?

message 8: by [deleted user] (new)

Nothin', you gotta ring '000'.

message 9: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) So you call it "ringing" even when there's no bell anymore?

message 10: by [deleted user] (new)

We're still in the dark-ages.

message 11: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Yes, three times, all health-related and all three times I wound up being admitted to the hospital.

Most people gawk at the scene to look at the gore. I gawk at the firemen. Once there was an electrical short in our office. Three firemen showed up, and all three of them were gorgeous. Even the old dude was hot.

It's part of their job description.

message 14: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Is not.

message 15: by Lori (new)

Lori Once when I was stung by a hornet - very allergic.

So embarrassing that the firemen had to see me in a stretcher! Firemen are hot.

Have you ever apply to be a fireman Larry?

message 17: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) No. Why?

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

Then how do you know it's not in their job description? Have you seen any ugly firemen lately? Perhaps you are the wrong person to ask!!!

message 19: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Maybe Australian applications are different than Omaha applications.

message 20: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I don't get it.

Is universal. Don't you boys know anything?

message 23: by Aynge (new)

Aynge (ayngemac) | 1202 comments The best place to scam on firemen: grocery stores. They all shop in a giant pack, in uniform.

Mary (madamefifi) No, but I called #77 (state police) from my cellphone once when I was driving to work on the I-95, because I saw two people who appeared to be young kids--12, 13, around there--walking along the side of the highway with backpacks on, like they were runaways or something. The dispatcher said they'd send a trooper right away. I hope they were Ok. I just kept thinking about all the predators out there, you know?
