April (booksandwine) | 954 comments Hail! Clearly, I am new. I just found goodreads while searching the interwebs the other day. Clearly this website is a book lover's crack, as in the drug, not the body part. I'm 21 and used to be made fun of for "always having my nose in a book." Friends come and go, but books are forever. Yes, I am a cheese-y soul in real life as well as on the internet. Also, I joined this group because A) the description grabbed me, B)the activity, and C) you all rock.
I just finished The Once and Future King by T.H. White. It was AWESOME. I currently am reading The Book of Lost Things because this group is reading it, and because I am ridiculously excited to discuss it online.
Oh, and some final introductory things, I will read almost anything people put in front of me, except Danielle Steele (read one book to see the hype and hated it). My book weaknesses are Stephen King, YA, and those Twilight Books.
So thank you people of The Next Best Book Club and goodreads for making my day.

The Book Whisperer (aka Boof) Hi April and welcome to a bunch of people who think that the coolest thing ever is to have your nose in a book!

Val Nichols | 159 comments Welcome, April! You will enjoy this site so much and I can't wait to see what you think of Book of Lost Things. I read it months ago and loved it.

Glad you managed to put your book down long enough to find us. (I picture all 700 of us walking around with books in front of our faces, just bumping into each other for a quick chat about what we're reading before we stick our noses right back where they belong.)
