Gregory Rothbard (polycarp55) I loved the poetry of this book... it also rang of a beautiful truth. It is an overall experience so I suggest reading it with a sort of liscense to allow Evelyn Waugh to move you through the story. If you try to be too specificly minded the book will loose its continuity. It is a poem in narrative form.

I loved it... I am glad that you liked it as well. I think it is a wonderful tale. Also how time is moved in the book. Events happen in the periphery and events happen without the characters having complete control of time.

LynnB I'm about halfway through the book and enjoying it very much.

LynnB Beautiful prose, but by the end I found myself as bored with their lives as some of them seemed to be. I did enjoy the writing, however.
