I've been on Goodreads for quite a while, and I'm sorry to say I've only just found this group. I'm an avid fantasy reader as well as a fantasy author... that is... an author of fantasy... not that I fantasize about being an author.
My published series is called The Lorradda Stone, and currently consists of two books: [Book: Storms of Vengeance] and [Book: The Hunter and the Marked]. Storms of Vengeance was the fantasy book club's selection last year, and was favorably compared by readers to the work of Steven Erikson. One reader aptrly described it as Steven Erikson meets George R.R. Martin with a dose of Agatha Christie.
The series is, indeed, a murder mystery set in a fantasy world where murder, theft, war, and greed have combined to create a mystery and a threat deeper than our heroes can imagine.
So, if you like your fantasy on mysterious side, and prefer fantasy where the good guys and the bad guys aren't so clear cut, give it a look. I'd love to hear what you think.
