Me too!!! So looking forward to this so I can get some little ones read...
I'm in! I need it to get some focus on my reading again.
I'm in. I'm behind in many ways. Most important is one of my goals was to read 15 books a month from the 1001 books you must read list. (Well, my real goal was 10 a month, but why not shoot for 15.) So, my goal during the readathon is to read 1 list book a day- 7 total.
Count me in!!! I am sore of behind in what I want to read!!! I will get time to read some really good books! That I have had on my TBR and just bought a few too!
I'm in; I have a bunch of books in my personal tbr pile, and I will use this week to read them rather than review boks (Maybe I can finally get to the last two Stiegg Larsson books!)I'm going to cash in on the 24-hour readathon and then try to use the week as mainly a reading week as well.

Deborah, a readathon is just an event where you try to read for longer time than you would normally. Sort of make reading a priority. Last year, we did 24 hour readathons every month. This year, we're doing week-long readathons, but only four times. The first readathon starts this Saturday 19th and ends on 26th. The rules are explained in this thread:

I'm definitely in for the week long. I just had surgery yesterday so I'll be at home for 3 weeks recuperating! This couldn't have been more perfectly timed if I'd tried!! :) can't wait!
Gonna have to catch up a few books to stay on track, so I will be there.
I am going to give it a go...even if it is just one book that would make me happy! :)
A week sounds better than 24 hours, I will try it
I'm in. I have like four books on the go but I'm stalled in all of them and think this will be the kick in the behind to get going. Also I've been wasting too much time surfing online when I'd rather be reading. Time to cut back.
To all who signed up: Check back in after 4-5 hours - I will have setup the progress thread. There's going to be a BIG surprise in there to spice things up. I didn't mention it earlier because it's an experimental feature, and we may or may not continue with it in the next readathon, depending on the response. But I hope you'll like it!
I'm going to sign up for my first read-a-thon as well!! I'm already starting to fall short on my 100 books this year goal (which is an average of 8-9 books per month), so hopefully this will give me more catch up time! I'm going to try both the 24 hour and weeklong read-a-thons, although this week is a little busy, i'll try anyways!
