I've been wondering about Unwind. It's on my TBR list and I'm thinking that I might have to read that next.

I'm reading Dirty Little Secret and like it so far. It's kind of a creepy book and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

hahahahaha...I think my TBR list is also going crazy now.^_^"

It's definitely different. Really dark and Dystopian with a Steampunk undertone. But SO good!

Let me know what you think!

message 554: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Sheesh, I went to reply to this thread and it said I couldn't because I didn't belong to this group. Looked and it showed me signed in as a Zack. Goodreads is acting crazy.

message 555: by [deleted user] (new)

There was a day last week when I couldn't look at your or Heidi's profiles because it said I wasn't your friend. Made me wonder why you ousted me as a friend, then I realized Goodreads was having issues. Whew! :)

message 556: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Awwww. Shannen and Zack - you'll always be my friends :)

message 557: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) That wasn't a Goodreads problem, we just removed you as friends. Kidding. It looks like they're still having issues. Seems like it's been happening to a few people but no official GR word yet. I'm not too worried because you need a password to access the meaty stuff.

message 558: by [deleted user] (new)

I think I'm liking Heidi a little bit more about now (in spite of her aversion to the book that shall not be named). Haha! :P

Heidi Peep - I mean Zack - I was wondering if you caught that :)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments Incarceron was really good. It looks like it was already published before and while the new pressing releases the sequel, Sapphique, in december you can buy the old one on Amazon. I am so tempted but then my copies wont match and what if she made changes?

message 562: by Michelle (new)

Michelle (michellezink) | 168 comments Yes, Incarceron was already released in the UK, but this is the first time it's been released in the US, so you should be okay if you buy a US edition of Incarceron (meaning, it should match your Sapphique cover in December!).
:D

Tracy (mamallama) | 21 comments I'm not sure if this is classified as YA, but I am currently reading The Capture. I am enjoying it so far and didn't realize there were so many books in the series. I saw the movie trailer over the weekend. It looks pretty cool.

Hi jo, I loved the house of night series I hope you enjoy it! The seventh book comes out next month, I am currently reading the summoning by kelly armstrong it has been on my shelf for over a year like it a lot so far

message 565: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I just started The Thief (The Queen's Thief, #1) by Megan Whalen Turner last night.

message 566: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Yes Bluemoon! I put that on Peep's movie thread the other day (about Dragon Tattoo). It is a Swedish film - because it is a Swedish book - but it looks cool and I have it in my Netflix queue waiting for when it comes out! p.s. the book starts off slow, but you must read it because the second book is AWESOME!
Also - thanks for the info Emily.
Speaking of Swedish things - I would love some of those Swedish fishes - they are yummy.

message 567: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I would recommend reading the first one so you know everything that is going on. The first one is good, but the second one is even better. I love Lisbeth - she is such a badass and the second book focuses almost entirely on her, which is why it is even better than the first. I am getting excited just thinking about the third book - it comes out soon. Sadly, the author died :(

??? why ugh??

message 571: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I am just teasing! A lot of people like that series. I am just not one of them, but don't listen to me, because I am obviously in the minority!!!! :)

message 572: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments I read for pleasure only... so we will see! :-)

message 573: by Jaimie (new)

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments Don't listen to Heidi - she hates everything! Just kidding Heidi but seriously I really liked it.

message 574: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments LOL - you guys are hilarious! I enjoy a wide variety of books, but I am not going into this with any expectations. I will let you all know what I think :-)

message 575: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Hey - I'm not Mikey! I don't hate everything. Well, o.k. I guess I am a little picky. I am sure Laura will love it, and I will again be outnumbered!

Heidi wrote: "Hey - I'm not Mikey! I don't hate everything. Well, o.k. I guess I am a little picky. I am sure Laura will love it, and I will again be outnumbered!"

You just dated yourself with that comment! Haha! And, yes, you are picky!

Jaimie (jaimier) | 1275 comments let's just say selective

message 578: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Shannen - you just dated yourself by commenting on my comment!!! p.s. you will always be a year older than me, so there!

message 579: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Just started listening to Angus, Thongs and Full-Frontal Snogging Confessions of Georgia Nicolson (Confessions of Georgia Nicolson Book 1) by Louise Rennison and it is hilarious! I know they say is like Bridget Jones for the younger set -- but it really is! Thanks Jamie for recommending it (I think it was Jamie). I am really liking it!

message 580: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Hey Emily- I resemble that remark! Anyway - just because I am picky doesn't mean I don't like things AND when I do like them I more than give them their proper due. I mean have you not seen my 10 million comments about The Help?

message 581: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments The Help was very good! oh, and so far I am enjoying City of Bones though I am only on page 110.
:-D

message 582: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Laura - glad you liked the Help too. Can't wait for the movie. You got farther than I did on City of Bones - I got to page 100 and threw it on the floor. Triple Ugh :)

message 583: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments LOL - how come you didn;t like it???

message 584: by Heidi (new)

Heidi The author was too wordy, much like everyone's beloved Stephanie Meyers. She seemed very amateurish and as many other reviewers mentioned it seemed like a piece of fan fiction -- I guess the author used to write Harry Potter fan fiction under another name. I mean, don't you notice any difference between her writing and say like JK Rowling or Suzanne Collins (whom I like)??? Quadrupedal Ugh :)

message 585: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments ahhhh - I understand now. I read very very quickly, so wordiness does not bother me overly much... I just skim over those parts ;-)

message 586: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Maybe that is the difference - I am not an overly fast reader, so I linger on things and they annoy me more. Either way - glad you are enjoying it :)

message 587: by Traci (new)

Traci Just finished the Stupid Time Traveler's Wife (finally) and I need a pick me up because the book was so bad. I think I may start the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield. I hear good things so hopefully I will not be strongly disappointed again...

If you don't want to be disappointed you might want to start on another book - I'm just saying...

wonderful. hahah.. well it's one of the only new books I have right now and I need something to read on my break at work today.. I guess I'll keep my hopes at a bare minimum. -_-

message 590: by Heidi (new)

Heidi I have heard mixed things about the Uglies and also heard some of the authors other books are better, so I have stayed away.

message 591: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Bluemoon wrote: "I actually started reading the City of Bones and so far I'm not liking it. I don't know why. I heard really good reviews bout it."

Yeah Bluemoon! You and I need to stick together :)

Don't say I didn't warn you about TTW!!!!!!!! See - even though I am picky, sometimes I am right.

That, and what kind of kids go to a poetry jam? It just seemed like she was trying too hard to be cool. Ok I am done now, because that book deserves no more of my time.

message 594: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) I am finding it very hard to finish Thirteen Reasons Why. Heidi was it you who couldn't finish it?

message 595: by [deleted user] (new)

Traci - Let me know how you like the Uglies series. I have been wanting to read it for a while now and never get around to it.

message 596: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Traci - I looked through your tbr pile. Like Water for Elephants was better than TTW. And Shannen should totally read it (if she hasn't) because her boyfriend is going to be starting in the movie adaptation of it along with Reece Witherspoon. Great! Can't wait for all those Twihards to start trashing Reece now that she is going to be staring opposite RPatz just like they did to poor Emilie de Ravin.

message 597: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments Water for Elephants was very very good! I really enjoyed it!

message 598: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm excited for Water for Elephants. That's why the book is in my TBR pile. I liked Emilie de Ravin so no complaints from me. And I love Reece. :)

message 599: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Peep wrote: "I am finding it very hard to finish Thirteen Reasons Why. Heidi was it you who couldn't finish it?"

Yes it was I. Great - now I am going to get even more flak on here for being "too picky". Thanks a lot Peep!

message 600: by Peep (Pop! Pop!) (new)

Peep (Pop! Pop!) Thank your allegiances!

And are you guys saying that Water for Elephants is turning into a movie and will have RP and Reese in it? Or is it another movie?

I liked Water for Elephants!
