I've been wondering about Unwind. It's on my TBR list and I'm thinking that I might have to read that next.

I'm reading Dirty Little Secret and like it so far. It's kind of a creepy book and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

It's definitely different. Really dark and Dystopian with a Steampunk undertone. But SO good!

Sheesh, I went to reply to this thread and it said I couldn't because I didn't belong to this group. Looked and it showed me signed in as a Zack. Goodreads is acting crazy.

There was a day last week when I couldn't look at your or Heidi's profiles because it said I wasn't your friend. Made me wonder why you ousted me as a friend, then I realized Goodreads was having issues. Whew! :)

That wasn't a Goodreads problem, we just removed you as friends. Kidding. It looks like they're still having issues. Seems like it's been happening to a few people but no official GR word yet. I'm not too worried because you need a password to access the meaty stuff.

I think I'm liking Heidi a little bit more about now (in spite of her aversion to the book that shall not be named). Haha! :P

Incarceron was really good. It looks like it was already published before and while the new pressing releases the sequel, Sapphique, in december you can buy the old one on Amazon. I am so tempted but then my copies wont match and what if she made changes?

Yes, Incarceron was already released in the UK, but this is the first time it's been released in the US, so you should be okay if you buy a US edition of Incarceron (meaning, it should match your Sapphique cover in December!).

I'm not sure if this is classified as YA, but I am currently reading The Capture. I am enjoying it so far and didn't realize there were so many books in the series. I saw the movie trailer over the weekend. It looks pretty cool.

Yes Bluemoon! I put that on Peep's movie thread the other day (about Dragon Tattoo). It is a Swedish film - because it is a Swedish book - but it looks cool and I have it in my Netflix queue waiting for when it comes out! p.s. the book starts off slow, but you must read it because the second book is AWESOME!

Speaking of Swedish things - I would love some of those Swedish fishes - they are yummy.

I would recommend reading the first one so you know everything that is going on. The first one is good, but the second one is even better. I love Lisbeth - she is such a badass and the second book focuses almost entirely on her, which is why it is even better than the first. I am getting excited just thinking about the third book - it comes out soon. Sadly, the author died :(

Just started listening to and it is hilarious! I know they say is like Bridget Jones for the younger set -- but it really is! Thanks Jamie for recommending it (I think it was Jamie). I am really liking it!

Hey Emily- I resemble that remark! Anyway - just because I am picky doesn't mean I don't like things AND when I do like them I more than give them their proper due. I mean have you not seen my 10 million comments about The Help?

The Help was very good! oh, and so far I am enjoying City of Bones though I am only on page 110.

The author was too wordy, much like everyone's beloved Stephanie Meyers. She seemed very amateurish and as many other reviewers mentioned it seemed like a piece of fan fiction -- I guess the author used to write Harry Potter fan fiction under another name. I mean, don't you notice any difference between her writing and say like JK Rowling or Suzanne Collins (whom I like)??? Quadrupedal Ugh :)

ahhhh - I understand now. I read very very quickly, so wordiness does not bother me overly much... I just skim over those parts ;-)

Maybe that is the difference - I am not an overly fast reader, so I linger on things and they annoy me more. Either way - glad you are enjoying it :)

Just finished the Stupid Time Traveler's Wife (finally) and I need a pick me up because the book was so bad. I think I may start the Uglies series by Scott Westerfield. I hear good things so hopefully I will not be strongly disappointed again...

wonderful. hahah.. well it's one of the only new books I have right now and I need something to read on my break at work today.. I guess I'll keep my hopes at a bare minimum. -_-

I have heard mixed things about the Uglies and also heard some of the authors other books are better, so I have stayed away.

Traci - I looked through your tbr pile. Like Water for Elephants was better than TTW. And Shannen should totally read it (if she hasn't) because her boyfriend is going to be starting in the movie adaptation of it along with Reece Witherspoon. Great! Can't wait for all those Twihards to start trashing Reece now that she is going to be staring opposite RPatz just like they did to poor Emilie de Ravin.

Water for Elephants was very very good! I really enjoyed it!

I'm excited for Water for Elephants. That's why the book is in my TBR pile. I liked Emilie de Ravin so no complaints from me. And I love Reece. :)
