I didn't like Masque as much as I thought I would. But I can't really say where the disconnect was for me. I dunno. It was good and it was original, there was just something missing for me. Maybe with the characters? I wasn't crazy about the MC. Perhaps that was it.

Ooooh, is it out?! I finished Pushing the Limits last night (ok, this morning;) it was a really fun read. She's so great with characters.

Too bad about Masque for you. I hate when everything should be great but something's off about a book. I hope I like it. I lOVE Poe.

Yeah I agree, Hidden (Firelight, #3) by Sophie Jordan was very underwhelming.
I really loved Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky, #2) by Veronica Rossi . Great series!
Next up for me are Legend (Legend, #1) by Marie Lu and The Rising (Darkness Rising, #3) by Kelley Armstrong but first...I got an ARC for The Bitter Kingdom (Fire and Thorns, #3) by Rae Carson !!! I am so giddy I'm hyperventilating.

I just read Tiger's Curse and I really hope I don't offend those that liked the book but I really hated it. I found the pacing abysmal, I didn't like the main character at all, and I felt that there was too much tell, don't show.

I will be reading The Lightning Thief next.

I thought Tiger's Curse was okay, but I didn't love it enough to continue the series. I only read the second book.

The Lightening Thief, however, is amazing! Percy Jackson is a great series, one of my favorites. Enjoy!

Jessica (jessi_thepage) | 3 comments Right now, I'm reading Dear John by Nicholas Sparks. I am a big fan of his novels. This book is sad and I can kind of relate to this novel. My boyfriend isn't in the army or marines or anything but he is far away at school right now. So, this book has a connection with me and it makes it whole lot better when I can relate to the book and myself.
