I've read The Keys to the Kingdom. I thought they were pretty good as long as you don't read them one after another. If it doesn't catch your attention, though, don't push through it.

I'm currently reading Grave Mercy (His Fair Assassin, #1) by R.L. LaFevers

Michele | 22 comments In the last few weeks I have read The Reluctant Assassin, The Trouble with Flirting, The Selection and The Elite. I have also re-read Webber's Easy. The re-read was probably my favorite of all of the above. I think I'm in a bit of a book funk.

Oh! I forgot I also read Code Name Verity, which was excellent but took me forever to get through!

I wish I would have taken more time with Verity myself because there was so much to piece together at the end that might have helped - great book!

message 14060: by Lesilee (new)

Lesilee Starting Mila 2.0 (MILA 2.0, #1) by Debra Driza I recently finished Slated (Slated, #1) by Teri Terry which was really slow, but interesting.

message 14061: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 415 comments Hi all. Seems I'm in a terrible book reading slump lately. I'm in the middle of several different comic collections, re-reading things I've enjoyed in the past.

Nexus Omnibus, Volume 1 by Mike Baron , which I am LOVING. Forgot how much I liked this title. Grendel Omnibus, Vol. 1 Hunter Rose by Matt Wagner , which I'm discovering I'm not as fond of any more. (The short stories, especially, don't really do it for me. And this omnibus is full of them.) Alien Legion Omnibus, Vol. 1 by Alan Zelenetz started out a little slow, but is building up steam. (I really enjoyed this book back in the day). And I'm still enjoying the hell out of Dreadstar Omnibus Vol. 1 by Jim Starlin . My first space-opera love.

Meanwhile, however, books have fallen to the wayside. Nothing is calling to me.

message 14062: by Heidi (new)

Heidi Sorry Lloyd. Hope you find a book you love.

Cassi aka Snow White Haggard | 2261 comments I'm reading Vigilante Nights by Erin Richards which is pretty terrible. But it's the type of problematic bad that needs a review so I'm pressing forward right now.

Heidi Les wrote: "Starting The Testing (The Testing, #1) by Joelle Charbonneau and The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton and still slowly reading Bitterblue (Graceling Realm, #3) by Kristin Cashore"

Bitterblue took me forever too - I was not a huge fan of it. Not enough action! I want to re-read the Outsiders now that I finished Stories I Only Tell My Friends by Rob Lowe because Rob talked about it a few times since he was in the movie and it made me want to read it again.

message 14074: by Lesilee (new)

Lesilee Yeah, I really want to like Bitterblue, but as you said, Heidi, there is not enough action.

message 14075: by Noodar (new)

Noodar Yasmeen (noodaryasmeen) Hey guys!

I am currently reading Mockingjay (The Hunger Games, #3) by Suzanne Collins By Suzanne Collins

message 14076: by Lloyd (new)

Lloyd | 415 comments Still just reading various graphic novels (mostly caught up in The Walking Dead series at the moment), but I'm feeling the desire to get back into a regular book...soon. I'm thinking about it anyway, which is better than the past month.

Though I still read my son to bed every night. Various Encyclopedia Brown and Magic Tree House books. Mostly we're currently into The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus, #3) by Rick Riordan . He just saw the trailer for the 2nd Percy Jackson movie and is very excited to see it. (I sure hope it's better than the first...which was terrible.)

Soulless (Parasol Protectorate, #1) by Gail Carriger (and the rest of the series) is one of my favorite "fabulous, frivolous" reads.
