Juliann Whicker | 131 comments Somebody brought up about reading "The Wheel Of Time" Series by Robert Jordan. I had every..."

I still haven't finished the Wheel of Time, the Brandon Sanderson takeover, not because I don't LOVE Sanderson, cuz I do, but because I've forgotten what in the world is happening, and having to reread all the rest of the books, particularly 5-10 would probably kill me.

Soneric750 | 1 comments Book "What the heart wants"

In search of true happiness our mind through logic and intellectual reasoning calculates a passage and steers us through the rocky reefs of our existence. The direction it sets however completely disregards and is often at odds with the internal and infallible compass which is our heart.

I've read it and I know it can be hard to get past the first chapter but it is really good, and totally worth it. It became one of my favorite books.

This. That first chapter kinda fucked me over, too. Didn't think I could go on but I did and it was worth it.

Erica (ericalaurend) | 20 comments I'm currently reading Her Dark Curiosity (The Madman's Daughter, #2) by Megan Shepherd . It's the second novel in a trilogy called "The Madman's Daughter." It's so good! I love all the details about Victorian London. It's a bit creepy, though, which I usually don't like, but is fine here.

message 14378: by Valerie (new)

Valerie | 58 comments I read Revenge of the Witch (The Last Apprentice / Wardstone Chronicles, #1) by Joseph Delaney last weekend. Pretty good story, definitely wouldn't suggest young tweens to read this alone in the dark! ;) LOL Was a good "things that go bump in the night" kind of read. Saw the movie yesterday, and while the movie was pretty good, it was much different than the book. The major stuff was right, but you know how it goes in Hollywood... many many creative liberties taken. There are something like 13 books in the series, so I probably won't go further than this, but I did enjoy it.

message 14379: by Laura Beth (new)

Laura Beth (tampabookworm) | 229 comments Neither of the books I am currently reading are YA, but they are Daughter of Time Trilogy (Daughter of Time #1-3) by Erec Stebbins and Midwife of the Blue Ridge by Christine Blevins . Talk about being on the opposite ends of the spectrum genre wise! lol
