We never did drama at school. Though a group of friends and I did put on shows for the elderly and disabled (a group that worked with our Catholic school and went to Lourdes each summer with a few of our students to help out).
With computers, though, I can turn it on and run various programs... that's about it. If something goes wrong my plan of action is to reboot the PC, hope that works and if it doesn't go complaining to the bf until he fixes it! :p

Singing, acting, technical stuff that was part of a side course, then far, far, down the list, dancing.

Do you still study Charmaine? Planning on studying again? Or done and dusted?
I keep being told I should learn Java but not gonna happen. I prefer living languages.

We've been through this but I wanna learn German lol. What's Java?
Ah well, good luck getting on your desired course in the future! :)
Java is one of the computer programming languages. I believe there are multiple programming languages, all relatively easy to understand once you've done all the work to learn it.
German is cool. So long as you remember that it's a V2 language (English is residual V2).

Aaah, I remembered this thing my mum had on her computer and wobdered if it was the same thing. It is lol. I'm terrible with computers!
I will, when I get around to learning it lol.
Yeah, it's probably Java. Though there's Java and JavaC. I have no idea what the difference is but they're two different languages. I assume they also have different uses. When my bf is working at home he's sitting in front of a black screen with all these little white words and billions of signs and to him it all means something and to me it's a black screen with little white words and billions of signs. Lol.
I've been reading studies on Italians learning German. I can tell you exactly what order you have to learn the sentence structure in. :p There are three steps and if you try to learn step 2 before you've learnt step 1 then it doesn't work out.

I will learn German. I may have to put it on a things to do before I die list.
It's on mine, too. :p Along with Spanish and Italian. If I speak English, French, German, Spanish and Italian, I'll have all the languages they could ever ask you for in Switzerland!
German is very close to Dutch. Theoretically I should be able to learn it to a relatively high level within six months.
Spanish and Italian are very similar and have ties with French. Should only take 1 - 2 years for both of those. Probably 2 for the first and 1 for the second.
I might also learn some Lithuanian. And I'd like to learn some Hungarian, although that's a pretty scary prospect.

Oh, I got my Tess book back! Apparently I managed to get just under 100 pages into it. I'll have to pick it up again at some point (though I'll probably have to reread the start).
The Story of the Cannibal Woman is proving to be heavy duty reading so I'm evening out the balance by reading Second Sight by Amanda Quick at times when my brain's not running at a high enough capacity for The Story.

I have to have Lucozade when I work on my blog lol. I was addicted to the stuff when I was in college. I spent weeks high and then I'd go on Lucozade induced downers. I'm not joking.

Well, I finished Second Sight already !
Gonna switch between reading Cannibal Woman, White is for Witching and Vampire Academy this evening. CW and WW are both quite complicated reads, so I need to balance them out with easy stuff! :p

I've finished Frankenstein and since I need something easy to read I'm reading

I haven't gotten round to reading The Luxe yet, but I will definitely check it out once I get through my stack.
So I read Vampire Academy today.
I'm all prepared for next month's BotM now!! Woo, go me! :D
I didn't think I'd like it, but I'm interested enough to go get book 2.

I had this horrible feeling that it'd be like Twilight, all forbidden love, but it wasn't at all. The friendship between the two girls was far more important than their romantic interests.
The writing was a bit clunky at times, but it was good (not excellent, but good).
My friend has been going on and on about this series, begging me to read it, for a couple of years now. I only gave in because two groups choose it for BotM. I liked the plot and the heroine, though annoying at times, wasn't dense... If I'm happy to buy book 2, then it must have been good! lol

Haha, I'm kind of glad it was put forward. I've been meaning to read it for ages. Yay! I might see about getting the rest of the series if I like book 1. lol
I think there'll always be a relationship undertone in the series, but so long as it stays understone, I'm fine with that. I much prefer friendships to becoming completely codependant on a guy.
Plus, the guy is Russian. I had great fun inventing a pseudo-Russian accent for him. I am easily amused. :p
I cant decide whether to order book 2 off the net or go into town tomorrow and hope they have it in the shop... hmm... decisions decisions!

Hahaha, me too. I don't create accents but sometimes I'll let my imagination run away with me and create different storylines.
Hmmm, that's a difficult choice, I'd personally go online because it'll be a couple of quid cheaper and with free delivery. It's different for you though.
So do I. That's why I don't understand why I keep reading romance and putting myself through plots that I know in advance I will not like! I'm weird.
I'm really bad with accents... like if a character is supposed to be talking cockney and I'm reading it normally, I'll stop, go back to the start of their speech and read it all again in a cockney accent! Sometimes I create different storylines too, especially if I'm not entirely happy with the one I'm presented with.
There's no much of a price difference if I go to the cheaper shop, maybe 1 or 2 euros, plus I have the books in my hands as of that second, whereas with online I have to wait 3 - 7 days for delivery... Another two hours to choose!

Hahaha, I can't do accents, except for a Scouse one, and that's only occasional.
Hmmm, it depends on how desperate you are to read book 2, if you feel you can wait for a week save the euros. If you can't, go shopping.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who puts herself through these trials and tribulations.
I can't do all of them, but the ones that I know how to do, I like doing. Like French people speaking English... but then it needs to be written like a French person would speak English and not just as English with the odd "oui" or "non" thrown in for good measure.
I don't think I'm that desperate :p Plus I think the series is on offer on the net so I'll make the most of that instead. Ah, to have come to a decision! :)

Haha, I tend to just have my voice coming out of everyone's mouths. It's weird, I can see the images but the words just don't come lol.
Yay! You've made a decision! =D
It's my voice, but with an accent :p If I read outloud it's a bit different. Like my intonation will be different if I'm reading a male's speech than if I'm reading a female's. But I'm not like Stephen Fry, I can't do a gjillion different voices in my head. I see images too, but I don't think I see them as vividly as I used to, more... I dunno how to explain it... it's there, but still as words. And I have great difficulty seeing people or houses, even if they're described in detail... which is probably why I don't like authors spending ages describing their characters, settings or clothing.
I did! So long as I can find the edition I want. They're just released these "red cover" editions, and I don't want that one. I'm quite pedantic about keeping to set cover art. I hate it when the publishers change the style of the art part way through the series.

I hate it when that happens. It ruins the set.
He is! He's so talented in just about everything he does. I'm jealous. Green with envy, I tell you!
Yeah, I tend to ignore heavily descriptive passages, too.
It does. I was so pissed off when they did it with the Darren Shan books. I'm not gonna go back and buy all the old ones again but now my set doesn't match! Same with Georgia Nicholson.

I'm lucky, my Georgia Nicholson set matches aside from the fact I've got the last few in hardback. My brother's Darren Shan books don't match either.
I do too. My dad doesn't like him. I thought he did. Apparently he doesn't like his Twitter opinions meddling. Oh well. Still, every time I see him I'm like "chip chip cheerio!" XD
Lucky... I have books 1 - 3 one design, 4 something else entirely, 5 - 10 a third design closer to the first one with all but 9 in hardback. My Darren Shan ones are only two different designs, but I prefer the first one, the old one.

I know. I bought them once they'd settled on the design. I'm not too keen on my brother's covers but he doesn't care about that stuff.
I do too! Plus I really like all the humanitarian work he does.
My dad bought the first three for me as a present once. I was addicted after that, though I lost interest around book 7 and didn't finish the series until after book 10 had been published. Yeah, my brothers don't care either. I think I'm just finicky. Wouldn't surprise me.

I read the first few from the library. I adored them, it's one of the few series that I can read again and again. If you're finicky then evidently so am I lol.
He is! I'm looking forward to being at a speech given by him at the end of next month. :)
It was released after I left England, but they were rated "T" for teen and dad figured they'd be a good investment. Indeed, when he gave them to me, I retreated to my room and didn't come out until I'd read them all. They didn't see me at all for two days (minus fetching food and drink) and all they heard of me was laughter drifting from behind my closed door... ah, the good old days!
What's her new one like? Withering Tights or something? You read it?

Aaah, your dad is evidently psychic. I know, that's what my mum had, in fact I forgot to eat, she had to bring me sandwiches lol.
Her new one is amazing. Talullah is Georgia's cousin and is just as bonkers. I gave it 5 stars but then Louise Rennison is one of my favourite authors.
We had a bell that my mum would ring when we all had to go down for dinner (it was easier to ring the bell than try to yell up two flights of stairs and we could always hear it really well). We're not allowed to be late for dinner in my house so I at least turned up for that!
I really enjoyed the first Georgia books but I felt that towards the end they got weaker... the ending of the last one was incredibly lame. I felt quite cheated if I'm honest. But I'll probably try Talullah when I can get my hands on her!

I know what you mean but at the same time I still think that they're a lot better than half the stuff on the shelves now.
You should. It's set up north. =)
True. Plus it's humour that's actually funny. And written in our language! And who can resist Dave the Laugh? Did you see the movie?
I heard that, at some private finishing school or bording school or I dunno what. You get the idea from Wuthering Heights vs Withering Tights. :p
