Actually I see that the Vogue Corporation is the publisher. And we have other exaples of entering the publisher as the author when there is no other listing. Also have entered various. Other librarians? I see that we already have in the Goodread's data base these possibilities: Vogue Editors, The Editors of Vogue/Butterwick, The Editors of Vogue and Butterick Patterns, Vogue and The editors of Vogue butterick
Interesting. Thank you! I'm curious where you found Vogue as the publisher, I don't see Vogue anywhere on the book or amazon.co.jp's site. Of course if I knew more Japanese beyond 出口 (exit) it would probably be much easier going.
I'll look up examples of publisher as author and try to conform the entry as best I can. I probably screwed up the cover too.
I'll give all my apologies in advance. I probably shouldn't have asked for librarian status. I always mess things up.
I googled the Japanese title (copied your entry) and then babelfish translated the publisher that I copied from the results. I did this on several entries that popped up to make sure that Vogue was involved. I see Hot Topic printed on the book cover - but it never seemed to show up in the title/editor/author/publisher slot for the books. (I don't even know exit)No need to apologize. You see I didn't give you a definitive answer. Some things are left to interpretation. We've all made some mistakes - except maybe Michael :-)
You'll find lots of things to correct - and you'll learn more as you go.
We all make mistakes. Just ask questions if you're not sure. I ask tons of questions on here and everyone is very patient and helpful!
What should I have done instead?
It was weird, amazon.co.jp through goodreads couldn't find the book but when I went directly to amazon.co.jp it found it.
