Summary:

Summary:

Too effeminate, too soft, too brown, Darren was a disappointment to his ex-military father almost since birth, but growing up in a small-town Alabama middle-class family, he lived a comfortable if lonely life… until coming out. Soon homeless with little more than the clothes on his back, he found work in a convenience store, living in the moment, shell-shocked and quietly hurting.

Rob barely survived the foster care system and set himself the goal of becoming a special agent, keeping others safe and protecting those in need. A job at the gas station is a means to that end, paying for his college courses while he honed his body and mind. Focused, driven, and disciplined…until he meets Darren. I just saw that we can add images of our characters to their very own pages. While The Agony of Joy alread has main character, Adrian Lee, on its cover...partially anyway, which image I created. I also did one for Alexander Skizetsky, or Lexx, who comes to be his lover.

"This short story packs quite a punch! I can't reveal the ending without spoiling it, but I can say that it left me breathless. I love it when there's a surprise like that to leave me - well, impressed.

It’s a historical, even if the history is fictional since the exact details of the location and time are never revealed. The main character, Lieutenant Jarryd, has survived long years of service to his Duke. He has lost one lover to the drawn-out war already. When he meets Arin, who is a new recruit, he suppresses his immediate attraction for fear of losing him as well. Jarryd’s growing feelings, however, soon make this impossible...."

The cover art for Gigi features the main character, Darren McKeane, but I saw that Goodreads also has character pages now. So this week I created a character profile for "Gigi's" love interest, Roberto or "Rob" Galimo. Who is he?
