Rebecca | 225 comments I just finished the 7th highlander series and Im confused. I thought that the 8th (short story) book I was the last one. At the end of this book, it made it sound like there was going to be more. The seelie queen was talking about how she had the 3 mackeltars together and 2 more were to come. She was plotting something for them to save her in the future. So is there more highlander books to come or did the author just decide not to write them?

Dee (austhokie) if you read the fever series you will find out more about what happened...now that that series is finished, she has hinted about writing some other books, but no one knowns when

Rebecca | 225 comments I think its weird that she decided to stop at that point. Especially when she left it hanging like that!

jD (jd_4everbooked) | 152 comments Didn't she have all 5 together in the final Fever book? If you count the nephew, it's five and they came to protect the queen and it was the future. I got the feeling it was a wrap and the new series will start some other adventure for the nephew. I could be wrong.

Mrs.Vishous-Kattalakis-Belikov :::Para Itch Reviews::: (vanesmate) Yea all 5 were there at the end of Fever.

Dee (austhokie) i think the short story actually falls in between books 4 and 5 (IIRC)...so its not technically, the last book

I think Christian (the nephew) is going to feature in the new series with Dani maybe...as well as Ryodan

Nita (gillnit) I thought I remember reading that Moning is no long interested in writing romances anymore. That she prefers to write darker urban fantasies. Anybody else remember reading this?

Dee (austhokie) i vaguely remember something along those lines...i think it was more the Fever series came to her and she had to get it written while it was in her head...but now that she has written them who knows

Duchess Nicole | 138 comments I think the hangers at the end of her last Highlander book were there to sort of lead the reader into the Fever series. I actually love that she brought the characters into a darker series, which has ended up being my favorite ever! She says on her website that she has no plans at this time to write another Highlander novel, but she may in the future, so hmmm...sort of iffy there. She also wrote that Mac's books came to her fully formed and that she just HAD to write it. I'm glad she did. The Highlander books are some of my fave romances, also.

jD (jd_4everbooked) | 152 comments She had changed her mind before. When Faefever came out it was supposed to be YA. I think Barrons nixed that once she started putting a pen to paper.
