Althesia | 10 comments I applied to be librarian because i want to add a different edition of "A Christmas carol & other stories" by Charles Dickens. The edition was published by liris (indonesia) on januari 2011. I already search in goodreads database but i can't find this edition. I used ISBN but still can't find it.

i need help. how to add other edition of same book to goodreads?

Thanks

mlady_rebecca | 591 comments You can manually add books here: http://www.goodreads.com/book/new

You don't need to be a librarian to do so.

Just comment in this group when you want the book combined. Just make sure the "other stories" refer to the same set of stories.

Althesia | 10 comments I have been a librarian. I have a book published by LIRIS (a publisher in Indonesia). The book was published entitled "A Christmas Carol : Sebuah Lagu Natal" . The original title was "A Christmas carol and other stories". I've added the book to the database Goodreads.
Is it necessary to combine it with the original edition? If yes, I want to try it myself and I need help to do so.

Thanks for helping me

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments Althesia, if you go to the books page, click on the authors name you'll see a small link "combine editions" adjacent to "books by ____" which is right above the titles list.
Once you click on that link it'll take you to the list of books by that author. If the book is exactly the same you can combine then. I haven't looked at this but like mlady said above you have to make sure the "other stories" are the same on both (or all) books to be combined.
Then, once you know which you want to combine, just check the boxes for those books and click on "combine editions". There is a button to combine at the top and bottom of each list.
I hope this helps!

Eva-Marie Nevarez (evamarie3578) | 753 comments You're welcome! I usually don't respond much to questions like yours because there are a ton of librarians who know a lot more than me but I hope it helps!
