Thanks. :) I'd never been to anything like that before and it was a little strange, but getting to talk to two of my favourite authors made it an incredible experience. They're both very approachable, by the way. :)

So jealous! I am a great fan of Robin's work!

I’ve managed to get all my books signed and he drew a pair of Angel wings on my copy of The Angel's Game :)
here's a list of the other books he signed for me.

The event was recorded so hopefully it should be up soon on the Wheelers site. As soon as it is, I’ll link it here for anyone that is interested.

Did you get him to sign every book you owned?

He's one of the best Sharon. He was saying the Angel's Game was written while he was staying in Barcelona and it's the only book in the series that will give you a true sense of what the city of Barcelona is really like.

Awesome Tamara! I have met Helene too, she is a wonderful lady, and very natural. You sound like you had a great night. When is/was your birthday? We don't have you down on our list;) Happy birthday for "then":)
OK thanks:) Have a great day then! You'll have to get Shattered Sky as well..it's between Wings of Fear and Burning Lies. It's a loosely based trilogy:)
Tamara wrote: "Brenda, it's June 15.
I will add it to the list :)"
I've just added your birthday...you share it with Karen:)

I brought many books from home to be signed -and spent way too much buying new books but got a heap of books signed by Keri Arthur (Full Moon Rising Darkness Unmasked), Helene Young (Burning Lies Half Moon Bay), Paula Westen (Shadows), Anna Campbell (Claiming the Courtesan Tempt the Devil Captive of Sin) and Lisa Walker (Sex Lies and Bonsai Liar Bird)
I love library events - And this one had 14 different Aussie authors in different sessions talking about all sorts of things. IT was great.
Sounds fantastic Kate! Some wonderful books there:) I also love library events, they are so much fun, and so personal.

I also have a signed copy of Abhorsen by Garth Nix

Awesome Zoey!

Good catch :)

I also have a signed copy of Glitter Roseby Marianne de Pierres, though I bought it that way I didn't get to met her.
And I also have signed copied of How to Keep a Boy from Kissing Youand How to Convince a Boy to Kiss Youby Tara Eglingtonwhich I won through giveaways.
That's all the books I have signed, though I wished I had more, I think it's really cool to have signed copies.

Well done - congratulations :)

Hi Brenda, thanks for the link and the welcome. :) Yes, I was very excited. It's not often that my students leave me speechless.

line at Heater's Bookshop in Kensington Park,
Adelaide to get Sue Townsend's autograph on the
copies of my Adrian Mole books. They were huge
successes back in the day, really incisive comic
writing. I was surprised, the other day on "Eggheads"
when her name appeared as one of the
answer options that a couple of the "eggheads" didn't know her. Well they have been having a bad run, having lost the last 4 challenges!!

How did you go Michael? Did you end up meeting Christos Tsiolkas? What did you think?

That's awesome Jackmeister. He's one author I would love to meet. I've enjoyed a few of his books but Schindler's List is one of my favourites.

That's awesome Michael. I did miss it. He's a lovely guy isn't he? Did you think so?

Yes Brenda, it is.

Yes he's definitely very humble and willing to spend the time chatting to his fans. He was the same the day he came into Dymocks. Very glad it was such a positive experience for you Michael. Actually by the looks of it the whole festival was a success for you. :)

That's so great Brenda, I'm so glad you got to meet her! I have a copy of a letter a friend received from her, as one of my girls did a speech about her. She's amazing, although I've not read about her yet..
She passed away 7th August 2011 Suzanne...a few days short of her 99th birthday. An amazing and inspirational woman..

Schindler's List signed by Thomas Keneally
Uglies & Peeps signed by Scott Westerfeld

Probably my most valued one is a Terry Pratchet signed copy of

Not his best known but my favourite of his in so many ways.
