hello. (:

i've been searching through quite a lot of topics but i haven't found the answer to my problem/question so I just decided to open a new topic, hope you don't mind.
this thing has been botherin me for quite a while now and i only hope that i'll explain it right. >.<

i've noticed that under other editions of one book there are also translations. so when i wanted to add the book that i have and that wasn't included among those editions it showed the book as a solo edition and it didn't put it with the others. so for example, there were english, italian, spanish, etc version of Eat Pray Love and i wanted to add the slovenian translation i was reading, and it didn't include my edition with others but it was presented as a completely new book. what did I do wrong?
i've been studying all those librarian manuals since i registered and still can't understand where did i go wrong?

most of the books i read are translations and since i'm using goodreads as my personal reading shelf with all of my reading history i would love to see the books sorted and edited as the versions i read, with proper page numbers, publishing years, language and all that, but i'm not able to have that without these translated editions.

oh well, i'm not very good at explaining. :P

Renske | 12220 comments You didn't do anything wrong, after creating a new edition it needs to be combined with the other editions on the combine page.
