I'm a dog person...never cared much for cats. But now we have one...a stray cat appeared on my porch one day about 3 months ago and just refused to leave. My basset hound, who has always chased any cat that dared to enter our yard, got after him the first time he saw the cat and, instead of running, the cat stood his ground and swatted Fred's nose. They've been thick as thieves ever since. Fred will lay down beside the cat on the porch and they rub noses and everything. So...needless to say, I bought cat food and let the cat stay. Sometimes, pets choose you - you don't choose the pets.
Just have to mention one of my favorite Gallahad scenes which occurs in Calculated in Death. Eve comes in after having another "cat" rub all over her, Gallahad gets a whiff & turns away, giving Eve the cold shoulder the rest of the night. The next morning, Eve feeds Gallahad bacon in an effort to make amends. Love this scene.
Also love Roarke telling Eve that if she ever comes home with the scent of another man rubbed all over her, bits of bacon will not be enough to make amends with him! ;)

That's a great scene too, Carol. And I know Roarke melted my heart by understanding & having Galahad brought to Dallas to comfort Eve & give her a touch of home.

I agree about Roarke.
Let's share some of our favorite Gallahad scenes! Out of all the In Death books you've read, which Gallahad scenes do you love best of all?
I love all those breakfast scenes. I especially like those where he's acting as Eve's sentry when she's had a rough night while Roarke's away.

Cats are like ghosts. They live with us, but they have their own secretive agendas. Cats are uncanny. They can be provoking, but also glamorous. They seem to know things. They seem slightly out of time. We project emotion onto them, they love us inscrutably, if at all. They have a keen sense of retribution. Cats see us and judge us.

So, cat people out there: what do you think? True? False?

I'm not a cat person and i believe it's true.
I'm not a cat person either so I really have no idea. But cats seem very finicky & picky to me...just my perception. :)

My favorite Galahad scene is in New York to Dallas when Eve first realizes he's there. The comfort he gives Eve shows the unconditional love he has for her.

When discussions of the size of the house come up I always wonder how many litter boxes they have. Do they have a litter box droid for scoop duty or self cleaning litter boxes?
I also look forward to Galahad's portion of the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
Love the cat!
