:) I know! I adore her, though.

Me too, and I thought she was awesome as Ms. Marple. Joan Hixon still embodied the character even better, imo.

Yup, and all the Poirot books, too.

Phil | 11837 comments I'm betting RA's vote for Miss Marple would be Megan Fox.

RandomAnthony | 14536 comments I'm not a Megan Fox fan. I don't know who Miss Marple is, but I'm sure Anne Hathaway would be lovely.

Michele bookloverforever (lovebooks14) | 1970 comments why fix what is not broken? why make Miss Marple young and a member of another acronymic organization? the character as written is perfectly fine? women of a certain age are non-threatening and darn near invisible: perfect detectives. Maybe if they set it in early 20th century England before the character became famous: show how she developed her skills might work. But not the idea I read about.

Because that's what Hollywood does, it remakes and remakes, and remakes again. There's a paucity of fresh, original ideas, so studios make Superman and Godzilla and Wonder Woman ten times, and then they make their sequels and III, IV, V etc. Something people are already familiar with is less of a gamble.
