Sondrae Bennett | 32 comments You could try: Moon Awakening (Children of the Moon, #1) by Lucy Monroe

It's not regency but it is historical. I haven't read it myself but its on my TBR pile and one I'm excited to start.

Michelle Gilmore What about The Dark One (Wild Wulfs of London, #2) by Ronda Thompson ? I haven't read it yet, but I think that might a good one to try.

Christen (GoldiloxReads) | 57 comments What is "regency werewolves"? Is this some kind of werewolf genre I don't know about???

Stacia (the 2010 club) (stacia_r) It's a historical time period.

From Wikipedia :

Regency romances are a subgenre of romance novels set during the period of the English Regency or early 19th century. Rather than simply being versions of contemporary romance stories transported to a historical setting, Regency romances are a distinct genre with their own plot and stylistic conventions that derive from the works of Jane Austen and Georgette Heyer, and from the fiction genre known as the novel of manners.

Nice defination Stacia. And yes Christen, the books are NOT taking what is essentially 2 modern people and just setting the book back in a historical period. The Regency sub-genre uses actual historic people, instances, VERY accurate depictions of manners, dressing, even newspaper quotes. Citing Beau Brummel, saying Prinney instead of using the Prince of Wales name, having the characters actually react and act like they would have had they really been born at that time.

The time period itself is while George III is insane and his son, who eventually becomes George IV is ruling as his regent. 1811 til 1825/30 or there-abouts. While Napoleon is still running wild, the War of 1812 is happening etc.

Christen (GoldiloxReads) | 57 comments Thank you for responding ladies! That clears up my confusion. I might have to check this sub-genre out! :)
