Help me find book clubs who want free galleys!! Here's why: As a marketing coordinator at a major publishing house, I always seem to have extra galley's for soon-to-be-published books. When this happens, I love sharing them with book clubs (anywhere from 1-2 reviews copies TO enough copies for all bookclub members!) sometimes for review purposes and sometimes just to share the love. If you are in or know of a book club that might be interested in contacting me and joining my "book clubs who want free galleys" list, please contact me at [email protected] .

Logan, are you seriously going to do this? You think it is for real? sounds interesting.....

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 1128 comments St. Martins is a reputable publisher and I am definitely not one to turn down the prospect for free books. Unfortunately the email address she listed above is not valid and it got bounced to me. So I'm thinking it's spam.

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 1128 comments They're really everywhere! They get more insidious by the day too.

Bluedaizy | 135 comments I was thinking St Martin's is participating at Goodreads. I'm going to hunt them down!

Jackie (thenightowl) She posted the same message on a bunch of different groups.

Where are the pitch forks?!

Spam hell! spam hell! spam hell!

Yeah I noticed that too... and wouldnt you think that she knew she was already in a book groups forum???? huh??

I mean, after all, we tend to talk about books quite a lot, and read them quite a lot... hmmmm...

message 10: by Chloe (new)

Chloe (countessofblooms) | 1128 comments and the title of the group has the words "book club" in it. You'd think that'd be a giant tip-off.

Kellie (acountkel) | 992 comments Oh man...I was getting so excited about "free books" until I scrolled....
Evil people.
Leave us alone!!

HELLO! Hello out there in the ethernet! It's not SPAM! I'm very embarrassed about this whole thing, actually, because I posted this on SEVERAL websites yesterday and only when I started reading all of your replies did I realize that my work email address was not receiving emails because I'd let my inbox get too full! So--I'm going to try to contact everyone individually, but for future people who want to email me (or contact me through good reads) i AM actually trying to give away galleys TO REAL BOOK GROUPS and if you're in a real life (not online) book group you should definitely contact me.

Sarah

Hello everyone!! It's me, Sarah, again to reassure you that this post IS NOT spam. I am, honestly, looking for real life (NOT online) book groups who are interested in receiving free galleys. Believe me when I say that I'm VERY embarrassed that I let my inbox (at work) become overfull. I didn't even realize it was rejecting emails until I read this post list. I finally worked things out with our tech dept. today, my email is up and running, so feel free to contact me through goodreads or to email me directly. Thanks! :-)

I recvd an email from Sarah, I think she just cut and pasted to everyone, but I told her we were not a live group....(she could have figured that out if she had read a little deeper into the group)

Oh Well.

Looks like no freebies for us!

message 15: by Jackie (new)

Jackie (thenightowl) Did it by chance begin with "I'm offended?" If so I got one too. =P
