The Sword and Laser discussion

Hey, I just read from George's blog, http://grrm.livejournal.com/206442.html that A Dance with Dragons is going to be turned into five shorter books based on characters, with Daenerys coming out on July, then Jon Snow on April 2012. The publisher says that if this works they are thinking of republishing the first four books also based on characters. Is this really a good item or is this a way for George to have more time to finish on what he can never finish?

Well if they do this then at least we'd get books more often. I mean I don't really want to pay for a 30 book series but I will if that's what it takes to get the story. The date is the important thing here.

I found out from people on other groups that posted this and from the comments on the blog its actually an April Fool's joke. I got taken and played like the fool that I am.

i thought this was pretty obviously a joke but don't feel too bad, they do these things so people WILL fall for them.
