Give me a break.

I'm too young to do alot of things, Larry. But you only live once right?

Esme wrote: "Yes, what are you talking about??? Aren't the high school years supposed to be full of infatuation and lust?"

Yes, I have to agree with Esme here. Four years of nonstop infatuation and lust.

Phil | 11837 comments The person in #3 is not a nerd, he's a dork.

I'm a situational nerd. Put me with jocks & I'm a jock; with stoners I'm a... ride home; with nerds I'm a nerd.

Don't ask what I am with women. :)

message 54: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) I was just joking, Esme. You're not too young. I'm just being a goof -- like your brother.

message 55: by [deleted user] (new)

I didn't mean to make that comment seem snippy. And you could never be like my brother(s). They're one of a kind jamooks.

message 56: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Jamooks. I like that.

message 57: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Oh now you're lying.

Careful, Dutch, you don't want to get stuck to your chair and have the fire department have to extract you.

Nerd is the new cool, Rachel! :)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments It's true, even my daughter is all about the nerd glasses.

Photobucket

and the duck lips!

message 66: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments I have many nerdy qualities. Or maybe they're geeky qualities. I'm a music geek and a comic geek and an SF geek. I think it's all a spectrum, though. I like SF and comic books, but if you put me next to my friends who play RPGs I am not very geeky in comparison. Put me next to most of the people who hang out at our bar and I'm on the nerdy side; we have very different interests.

Aynge (ayngemac) | 1202 comments Jim wrote: "I'm more of a dweeb."

What is the difference between a dweeb and a nerd?

message 68: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments This may help.

message 69: by Sarah (new)

Sarah | 13814 comments Oh, that does help!
I'm a geek, but a sort of well-rounded one. I don't have any particular obsession, there are just a bunch of things I'm interested in.

Jackie "the Librarian" | 8991 comments I'm way more socially adept than I used to be. I may be morphing into geek territory, although I find the term "dork" more endearing.

message 71: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments I'm firmly in the nerd category.

message 72: by Phoenix (new)

Phoenix (phoenixapb) | 1619 comments It doesn't specify above average intelligence, just intelligence in general. And you are intelligent, Barb, intelligent and funny!

I guess I'm mostly a dweeb.

message 74: by janine (new)

janine | 7709 comments i'm definetely a nerd, though i'm trying to overcome some of my social ineptitude and am not nearly as inept as my brother.

message 75: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments You're better than just OK Barb.

Barb wrote: "Hellz ya, it's the new cool.
People buy nerd glasses on purpose now!"

I wear nerd glasses. Most people do.

message 78: by Félix (new)

Félix (habitseven) Now you gotta show us, Esme.

message 79: by [deleted user] (new)

Hah, no fucking way. It's a fad at school, I'm waiting for it die out.

message 80: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments So you say you are a nerd, but you're not willing to prove it?

message 81: by [deleted user] (new)

Not by posting an ugly picture.

message 82: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Understood.

message 83: by Jammies (new)

Jammies Jim, according to your chart, I'm a geek.

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

Oh I never noticed the chart for some reason. I'm a geek, not a nerd.

message 85: by Jim (new)

Jim | 6484 comments Jammies wrote: "Jim, according to your chart, I'm a geek."

But a great geek Jammies.

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 708 comments Dweeb here.

Jim | 6484 comments Lyzzibug wrote: "Dweeb here."

I just pictured you answering the phone this way.

Lyzzibug ~Still Breathing~ (lyzzibug) | 708 comments Hummm...I think I'll try that out.

Jammies Jim wrote: "Jammies wrote: "Jim, according to your chart, I'm a geek."

Not so great that I can't type the difference between a chart and a Venn diagram. *hangs head in shame*

message 91: by Lila (new)

Lila | 146 comments I guess I'm a geek since that is what I am called by my wonderful family!
