Jackeline (jackelineblue) | 141 comments some of the books have mature themes (the teacher told the class) i don't want to read those kinds of books or anything sad, depressing, or symbolic.
I just want to know if i should read any other book besides the one I'm obligated to choose and read.
Apparently all of these books are on at least one list of books to read before college.
Advice please......

Jocelyn (joc113) | 2640 comments Hello. I am Ducky. I *know* Robin. In some ways. ;-)
I ramble about virtually everything. Especially my favorite books. My favorite books are the mysterious benedict society. AWESOME! My age is...uh...well, I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

My social studies teacher is awesome. {that could be considered random}

I LOVE THE MYSTERIOUS BENEDICT SOCIETY!!!! Have you read the Secret Series?

message 280: by Sarah, The Random Nerd (new)

Sarah (agentsd) | 11810 comments Mod
Well Jackeline, I haven't read any of those books. The one I know most about is The Invisible Man. It's one of those books I know I should read one day, but I haven't yet and I'm not sure if I ever will. I know it would make me extremely depressed.

The one I would read is As I Lay Dying. I didn't know much about it prior to seeing your list, but it looks really interesting now. I think I might have to read it!

message 281: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Hi Ducky! I dunno about your reading list, Jackeline, 'cause I'm not very good at recommending books I haven't read! :D Sorry!

Welcome Kyle! (I know I've already said this at least three times. XD)

I want to read It! The only Stephen King books I've read so far are Misery and On Writing-- but I thought they were both fantastic. :)

Same here, Robin! On Writing is really good. I love books about writing. :) Zen in the Art of Writing is a great one, too.

Age: That's personal info.
Fav. book: I really do not know.
Fav. thing to ramble about: If I were to be stranded on a desert island, what things would I have with me?

message 292: by Robin (new)

message 296: by Fran (new)

Fran (franswims) | 3422 comments So... What would you have? I would have books, and a water purifier. And some mad skills to build an awesome hut on the beach.

message 297: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Yeah, definitely a water purifier, a huge book, some rope, a phone {one can hope for reception!}, some matches, and a survival kit? Maybe. I dunno, I have to think some more.

message 298: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) I'd have one of my friends to keep me company, chocolate, mangos, a water purifier, lots of water, extra clothes, a phone, a book, a pencil, a pen, a notebook, a tent, a pet, an army knife, as you can see i really like to ramble about these things.

message 299: by Robin (new)

Robin | 5442 comments Hmmm...A Swiss Army knife would be nice. Pen and a journal. Extra clothes also good. First aid kit. Some food. Yes, a tent, very good. A hair brush.

message 300: by Cami (new)

Cami (camikittr) oh yeah, and a first aid kit and a hair brush.
