"Michelangelo didn't know he was going to become Michelangelo until he was... Michelangelo. How 'bout that?"

"Be SILENT and LISTEN
I'm the SCHOOLMASTER and you are in THE CLASSROOM
Just like ELEVEN PLUS TWO equals TWELVE PLUS ONE
Even a FUNERAL can be REAL FUN"

"True, most people only say silly things when they speak. But it's easier to ignore them when you're saying silly things yourself."

'Oh sure. The good kind of spying, like "Here, have some flowers, and a puppy, and some spying."'"

if someone could just tell me what the book is like (if you've read it) here are my options:
As I Lay Dying...William Faulkner
The Awakening...Kate Chopin
Black Boy...Richard Wright
Catch 22...Joseph Heller
Catcher in the Rye...J.D. Salinger
Go Tell It On The Mountain...James Baldwin
I Know Why The Caged Bird Sings... Maya Angelou
Invisible Man...Ralph Ellison
My Antonia...Will Cather
One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest...Ken Kesey
Slaughterhouse-Five...Kurt Vonnegut
The Bluest Eye...Toni Morrison
The Joy Luck Club...Amy Tan
A Farewell To Arms...Ernest Hemingway
Their Eyes Were Watching God...Zora Neale Hurston
The Things They Carried...Tim O'Brien

I just want to know if i should read any other book besides the one I'm obligated to choose and read.
Apparently all of these books are on at least one list of books to read before college.
Advice please......

I ramble about virtually everything. Especially my favorite books. My favorite books are the mysterious benedict society. AWESOME! My age is...uh...well, I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.
My social studies teacher is awesome. {that could be considered random}
Well Jackeline, I haven't read any of those books. The one I know most about is The Invisible Man. It's one of those books I know I should read one day, but I haven't yet and I'm not sure if I ever will. I know it would make me extremely depressed.
The one I would read is As I Lay Dying. I didn't know much about it prior to seeing your list, but it looks really interesting now. I think I might have to read it!

Welcome Kyle! (I know I've already said this at least three times. XD)
I want to read It! The only Stephen King books I've read so far are Misery and On Writing-- but I thought they were both fantastic. :)

Same here, Robin! On Writing is really good. I love books about writing. :) Zen in the Art of Writing is a great one, too.

Name: Sugarbug (of course that's not my real name)
Age: That's personal info.
Fav. book: I really do not know.
Fav. thing to ramble about: If I were to be stranded on a desert island, what things would I have with me?
