Teresa Hennessy | 3 comments Just finished Revolutionary Road (Richard Yates) and now am halfway through The Shining. I haven't read any Stephen King in years and for some reason just decided to revisit some of his classics. :-)

I have a lot of down time at work and a Kindle app on my computer...WOO HOO!

Finished it up yesterday and for the most part I really enjoyed it although it was really hard for me to not watch the movie in my head as I was reading, lol.

I'm not completely sold on the horror genre though, even though that is what I read almost exclusively in my teens. However, for some reason I am drawn to books centered around houses (or hotels I suppose, lol) and the history surrounding them. I may try another King novel but only if there's a picture of a house on the cover. ;-)

Ash (morethanfairytales) I just picked up Aimee Bender's The Color Master: Stories at Barnes & Noble the other day. She utilizes such vivid detail and metaphors to convey some very disturbing concepts. Every story has something of a twist ending. Like her other work, it is absolutely superb.
