Romance Readers Reading Challenges discussion

The only female Kennedy that I know of is the later Sookie Stackhouse books like DG says. I don't remember which book where she first appears.

I'm not sure when Kennedy first appeared in the Sookie Stackhouse books either, but I know she's in Dead in the Family. Hope that helps. :)

So I finished reading Kiss of Snow and some of the names in the cast of characters don't show up at all so these are the ones that are really there:

Drew(Andrew), Anthony, Ava, Cooper, Elias (Eli), Henry, Lucas, Lucy, Maria, Riley

Show up once: Kaleb, Max,

Never show up but are talked about: Sophia, Xavier, Nathan

There's also an Aden that shows up twice and that has all the markings of future hero. That almost sound like Aiden to me...

Okay, I smack-dab on average at 1.09 names per day. But I don't think I can keep that up, as the names have really tapered off.

I can't believe - 3 months no Zoe. I'm now currently reading three books with Zoe as the main or major character! (I always knew one of them had Zoe in it, so I wasn't concerned - but how crazy!!)

Lindy - I think you should split your lists in two... You have two options:

* Post two new lists - one for boys, and one for girls - these will both them be at the end of the challenge thread

OR

* Keep your list in your current location as the 'girls' list, copy the boys and post them as a new list. Once you have saved them as a new list, remove the 'boys' from the girls list. This would mean that you have two lists in two different locations on the thread which could be rather annoying.

Both these options need you to 'copy' some part (or both parts) of your list. To do this, highlight the text you wish to copy (by left-clicking your mouse over the area you want to highlight and then releasing), right click your mouse, select copy from the drop-down menu. Then go to a new message (scroll down to the bottom of the page), put your cursor in the new message, right click your mouse and select 'paste' from the drop down menu. This should put all your copied (highlighted) text from your original message into the new message.

Has anyone found a book for Makenna? I am having a hard time finding names now, usually its one per book. And the harder names are even harder to find.

The main character of The Ghost of Carnal Cove by Evelyn Rogers is named Makenna. I was lucky and happened to own this one. Now I just have to get it read in time.

There's an Ashlyn in Trance. I'm reading it now and it's going well.

I was really excited because there's a Kyra too but when I looked, we didn't have that name on the list (just a million other names starting with K!)

There's a Makenna in To Wed A Highlander and in The Goblin Wood. (I haven't read either so I don't know if they are any good.)

I think my daughter would love The Goblin Wood. I'll have to show that to her.

So proud-she's read 6 books so far this summer. There was no required reading for school either. She just read 6 books for fun.

My memory is so shot these days, I have just read two books that I already crossed off the names for, but all this time I am thinking they need to be crossed off. I think I need to sleep more, read less. :)

LOL! Every new book I rush to my list and check to see which names I still need... Haven't yet read a book specifically for a name I've already checked off though :)

I've had a few names where I've crossed them of the list but then couldn't find them listed by a book. So I think I may have used them, but forgot to put the name with the book. I just uncrossed them. I don't remember which book they came from.

I only read 1 book that I kind of knew I wouldn't like and that was for Cadence. I'm not a MaryJanice Davidson fan. But the library had it on audio so I though maybe I'll like her better if I listen. Wrong. Didn't like it at all. Everything else is either books I had already, books I had on my PBS reminder list or they looked good and my library had a copy.

I haven't been crossing off many names lately. I keep running into names that I already have. I think I've had 10+ each of Lucy, Jack, Sam, Samual, Luke and a few others. I've even had multiple Haydens and Aidens.

I had a female Dylan.

i am looking for names at the library and i have found some really good books to read. I have Mary Jane Davidson on my list too, never read her

I came across a Dillon last night at the library: I was looking at audiobooks while my daughter picked out DVDS. What Price Love by Stephanie Laurens has a hero named Dillon.

Same here D.G., there are many books, I wouldn't have read, or add to my TBR because of this challenge. I actually have had, very few books I didn't like in this challenge.

In Blue Bloods there's an Oliver,a Bejamin( Though he mainly goes by Jack),a Charles,a Dylan and a female Jordon(Jordyn). And they're all recurring characters. There's an Isabella in Misguided Angel(#5). There also are probably more that I can't remember,but I thought I'd share. :D
In Dirty Little Secrets there's a Lucy and a Kaylie(Kaylee).And an Amelia in The Vespertine.

Also,Nathalie= Natalie? Not sure about this one. Would it count?

I picked some books up at a Borders closing sale last night. I'm bored at work and looking them up on shelfari to see if they might have any names:

looks like main characters mother is a Molly

-has a Dylon, Jasmine, Riley, Logan and Shawn. (also a Gabe which might be short for Gabriel)

-Dominic, Jason and maybe Joseph and Thomas.

-main male character is Mason

-main character is Nora

has Jasmine, Morgan (female) and Carson.

Mary - In Matched, Cassia's boss is called Nora.

I already used Nora. I was just listing name ideas for people. I already have a book for pretty much every name I found above. Although I think I only had 1 Jasmine book so now I have another one to consider using.

There's a Liam and Emily in Kiss Me, I'm Irish. Not sure how good it is though,just got it in the mail.
