Good Buys > Where to buy quality made books?
Becomingme Becomingme Apr 19, 2011 01:56PM
I saw the subject about getting books inexpensively...but I want to know if anyone else has places to get good quality books. Like I know of Easton Press Books and Folio Society Book, I own books from both companies, and find that they are well made works of art. So my question is, do you know of other places to find quality made books? And what's the best for you money ?(ie, in my experience, EP books are high quality and a quite less in price than Folio) Not to mention I would love to be able to find old well made books too(Abe Book rare books has a nice selections)...but I would love to hear of your experiences and really if there are others sources, because I really LOVE a well made book!

Definitely Everyman's Library. There classics are absolutely gorgeous.

Penguin sometimes releases specially designed books. They are my favourite publisher when it comes to design sensibilities, but some of their limited edition redesigns are just to drool for.

Have a look here:

There was one redesign that I was thinking to buy for my daughter, but it quickly sold out: The Secret Garden

Penguin makes the most gorgeous books. I've been drooling over those clothback hardcovers forever. :)

Mostly fantasy/sci fi/horror stuff, and it's expensive, but they have some awesome editions.

I have no experience with these yet, but I would love to get some books of the Barnes & Noble Leatherbound Classics Series (especially the boxed set).
