Elizabeth (Alaska) I read mostly the classics and contemporary literature, but I've found myself lately slipping in a few Christie's, Lawrence Block, Raymond Chandler, and now I've added a Rex Stout to my shelf. Hmmm - what's with that? Thought maybe I should drop by here and learn what the hard core readers are reading. I'll be mostly lurking I think, but who knows?

Hi Elizabeth. Thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. Lots of brilliant recommendations to be had here, so take a peek at the various threads, but hang on to your TBR!

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thanks, Hayes. I've been nosing around. In one thread, I saw that last year Lobstergirl posted her review of Amagansett. Wait - I read that a few years ago, and loved it. Uh oh, another author I'd better remember to squeeze in.

Glad you stopped by Elizabeth. I'm sure you'll find lots to consider here. The group seems to cover the entire spectrum from light entertaining cozies to thought-provoking mysteries with a good dose of social commentary.

I've just checked your profile, Elizabeth. Did we not "know" each other over at the TNBBC?

Elizabeth (Alaska) Hayes, I thought you sounded familiar. ;-) It's been a long time since I was a member at TNBBC.

Patricia (pg4003) | 50 comments Exactly what is the description of "hard core readers"?

Elizabeth (Alaska) LOL I meant hard core mystery readers. You know, super-dedicated. ;-)

Me too... but we're both here, which is good.
