Aissa I've read Dianne Duvall first installment, so I wait.
I'm waiting for Lara Adrian's 9th installment, that's 2 months from now.

Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dee i really enjoyed Larissa Ione's Demonica series - and it is complete - the first is Pleasure Unbound (and she has a new series just starting with some of the same characters)

Selena Lang The Midnight Breed series by Lara Adrian is pretty good. not nearly as good as BDB books are, but they are very readable and enjoyable.

Msthang117 I agree with all the above, I especially love the Lara Adrian books second from BDB. You should read Gena Showalter's Lords of the Underworld series and Jeaniene Frost's Night Huntress series. They are realy good as well.

Maloup All the ones mentioned above are great, although I haven't read the Dark Hunter series.

Guardians of Eternity by Alexandra Ivy is also good.
The Brotherhood of Blood by Kathryn Smith is a historical paranormal romance series that is really good, as well as the Gardella Vampire Chronicles by Colleen Gleason.
Also, there's Love at Stake series by Kerrelyn Sparks which is can be a little cheesy, but very funny. :)

Karinloos All of the above, (big votes for Lords of Underworld series and Demonica Series ).
Also IAD (Immortals after Dark) by Kreley Cole are very good reads.

Dee i would, after thinking about it, add Nalini Singh's Psy-Changling series - I just finished up book 7 and wow...new favorite series...starts with Slave to Sensation

Cypher Lx I actually just added LOTU to my Kindle. I have so much to read and catch up on after graduation. I'm hoping I have time to do my own writing. I'm already behind on my 100 book reading goal by about 15 books.

Stacia (the 2010 club) I'll agree with Midnight Breed. In so many ways it's almost identical to BDB. I like BDB better, but a lot of the premise is the same :

PNR, vamp warriors find their HEA with each book, they live together, they fight other "evil" vamps, etc.

Book Sushi you can also try the Carpathian series by Christine Feehan but Dark Hunter by Sherrilyn Kenyon is awesum and prob the closest you will get.

Magda PNR/UF Series I enjoy

Demonica Series Pleasure Unbound (Demonica, #1) by Larissa Ione
Doomsday Brethren Tempt Me with Darkness (Doomsday Brethren, #1) by Shayla Black
Immortals After Dark The Warlord Wants Forever (Immortals After Dark, #1) by Kresley Cole
Night Huntress & NH World Halfway to the Grave (Night Huntress, #1) by Jeaniene Frost
Anita Blake Guilty Pleasures (Anita Blake, Vampire Hunter, #1) by Laurell K. Hamilton
Violet Eyes Through Violet Eyes (Violet Eyes, #1) by Stephen Woodworth
Sookie Dead Until Dark (Sookie Stackhouse, #1) by Charlaine Harris
Argeneau Family A Quick Bite (Argeneau, #1) by Lynsay Sands

Elayne The Highlander series.
The Fever series, both by Karen Marie Moning...brilliant.

Magda I'm currently reading The Fever Series & have to agree. It started out slow but has gotten better. Currently on book 4.

Elayne Loved this series, but because I'd read the Highlanders first some events in Shadowfever made more sense than if I'd not read them.

Selena Lang Ok I have heard the highlander series mentioned many times in various groups - but who wrote it? when i do a search for highlander series I get a ton of different styles of books/authors. Not sure which one everyone is referring to.

message 16: by Dee (new) - rated it 4 stars

Dee Karen Marie Moning - they are strict PNR, the Fever series which follows is UF with the same couple through-out...you don't have to have read one ot read the other

message 17: by Sue (new) - rated it 5 stars

Sue Some of my favorites are:
Dark Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon
the Lupi Series by Eileen Wilks
Otherworld by Yasmine Galenorn
In Death series by J. D. ROBB

message 18: by Kay (new) - rated it 4 stars

Kay Gena Showalter's LOTU series, Kresley Cole's IAD, and Nalini Singh's Psy/Changeling series are my favorite paranormal series. Lara Adrian's Midnight Series is also good.

Autumn Immortals After Dark and the Demonica series are what I read after reading the BDB.

Donna Charles THE MIDNIGHT BREED SERIES IS THE CLOSER TO THE BDB SERIES. EVEN THE HEROES HAVE PROBLEMS LIKE THE BDB. ANOTHER IS LORDS OF THE UNDERWORLD. I LIKE WHEN THE HERO ALWAYS THINKS HE ISN'T GOOD ENOUGH FOR HAPPINESS AND HAS TO BE CONVINCED HE IS

message 21: by Erin (new) - rated it 4 stars

Erin O'Riordan Elizabeth Reyes wrote a nice list of titles with alpha male heroes obsessed with their mates HERE: http://www.amazon.com/lm/R3MHG3BNKSLO...

Selena Lang They aren't vampires, but Eileen Wilks writes a great series about werewolves - World of the Lupi (7 books so far). I love this series. its well written, engaging and the world building is great.

message 23: by Dana (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dana the vampire queen servants are pretty good reads. very erotic!

message 24: by Book Sushi (new)

Book Sushi the dark hunter series by sherrilyn kenyon or the Carpathians by Christine Feehan.

Tabitha Maggie Shayne Wings in the Night Series, there are about 18 books. They aren't much like BDB but they are still absolutely amazing books. This series is one of my top ranked series, I also agree with Lara Adrian, that series is very similar to BDB. Wing Slayer Hunter Series by Jennifer Lyon is good, not vampires but witches and witch hunters but still a very good series.

message 26: by Dana (new) - rated it 5 stars

Dana suducing the succabus is good

Books By Ces MIDNIGHT BREED!!! FROM LARA ADRIAN
VAMPIRES IN AMERICA SERIES BY D.B. REYNOLDS

Lauralee All great suggestions. We love to read paranormal romance and talk about the books and others like them, too. Come join us at www.innergoddess.freeforums.org and see what other similar series we have listed. Or join our goodreads group: Innergoddess

Julia I actually read LOTU and BDB at the same time, which might have been a mistake, 'cause I'd get the characters crossed up. They have very similar characteristics/personality traits. Love them both.

Emily Webner laurell k hamilton does a series about a meredith gray character that i enjoy and like a lot. i dont know if someone already reccommended it or not b/c there were too many comments to read. sorry.

message 31: by Kim (new) - rated it 5 stars

Kim Kresley Cole Immortals after Dark was great.

Lauralee If you want your vamps a little more BDSM, try Joey W. Hill's Vampire Queen series.

D.B. Reynold - Vampires in America series, or Tina Folsom's - Scangards Vampire series. both have good plots, characters that cross over books, complete stories in each book and Hot sex.

actually Duncan is already out and by end of Oct 2012 book 6 - Lucas comes out
