Garden Spells by Sarah Addison Allen was recommended to me a while ago, but I have not had chance yet to give it a go
How about Tigana by Guy Gavriel KayI've not heard anything about it but the reviews seem promising and it is a stand alone fantasy

If the scores are tied, perhaps everyone selects the one they voted for and then puts the remainder in their tbr pile so they can join discussions later.Of course needle in a haystack comes to mind in some tbr piles - including my own due to the speed at which I read/have time to read.
Anyone started Garden Spells? I want to finish a couple of books already started before digging it out, but can make a start at the weekend I expect.
I did start it. I'm not that into it yet. But I'm going to keep reading it.
Haven't started Garden Spells yet, as I've just got hooked by One Good Turn! I have a feeling that I'm going to put on a reading spurt though, so shall probably start it soon!
Just made a start on garden Spells, it's lovely light relief after Now It's Time to Say Goodbye which I finished sunday.
I have finished with my copy of Garden Spells, and I'm quite happy to stick it in second class royal mail if anyone wants it (UK only- sorry)! BTW Nice story, but possibly a bit girly
I finished Garden Spells this morning. I agree with Chris that it was a "girly" book, and it's certainly not the sort of book I usually read. Despite that, I enjoyed it - a light, summery story with a happy ending - quite a tonic really!
