Florence Osmund | 61 comments If you’re a self-published author and looking for exposure, you might want to check out BRAGMedallion.com, an organization that brings together a large group of readers, both individuals and members of book clubs, located throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe. BRAG (Book Readers Appreciation Group) states its mission as "recognizing quality on the part of authors who self-publish both print and digital books." There is no charge for submitting a book for consideration.

Books submitted are read and evaluated by members drawn from its reader group and judged using a proprietary list of criteria, but the single most important criterion they ask their readers to use in judging a book is whether or not they would recommend it to their best friend. Once a book meets this standard of quality from three out of three reviewers, they award it their B.R.A.G. Medallion™.

Less than 15% of books submitted receive this honor, so if you submit your book and become an honoree, you can use it proudly to help promote your book. I know because my first novel, “The Coach House,” was just added to their list.

J.D. Barnett | 3 comments Hi all. I'm seeking reviews for my paranormal thriller All the Devil's Creatures All the Devil's Creatures by J.D. Barnett
If interested, please email [email protected]. Here's a blurb:

A lynching on a secluded bayou. A strange boy with supernatural powers. Rogue science.

It falls to small-time environmental lawyer Geoff Waltz to unravel the deadly conspiracy that connects these mysteries. Withdrawn from life and work since the death of his wife, Geoff wants only to secure a quick settlement from a petrochemical company he has sued for polluting the fragile bayou along the Texas-Louisiana border. But the lynching victim worked for him. And the odd, beautiful boy is his client’s grandson. Soon, with the help of private investigator Marisol Solis, he learns that there is something more sinister going on at the bayou than a chemical spill—secret work at a hidden facility that stretches the bounds of known science.

Secret work worth killing for.

But who is behind the conspiracy? And what is its ultimate goal? Mad science for mere profit? Or do the shadowy figures at work in the facility have a grander aim—to transform the world into a dystopian nightmare?

Geoff and Marisol’s race to answer these questions takes them to New Orleans, a maniacal hit man on their trail. As the conspiracy nears fruition, the boy—the special, unearthly boy—emerges at its epicenter. And could be its next tragic victim.

S.L. Vail (slvail) | 4 comments Seeking reviews for my recently (indie-) published dark comedy, Act Locally, a story of good intentions gone bad.

Some language (but nothing you wouldn't hear at a junior high), no erotica (okay, cat erotica but no human erotica), some violence, some philosophy, fair amount of irreverence.

happy to provide free reviewer copies in your preferred format - just let me know!

John (jaymack) | 45 comments I'm looking for someone to review "Up A Tree", my short (35,000 words) contemporary romance novel. I have more than a dozen ebooks I've published, but this is my first foray into romance novel territory. It's a story about Lauren Summers, who revisits the scene of her first kiss, only to find that the boy who kissed her is still in the neighborhood, and he still cares about her. The story is complicated by the appearance of Tom Connell, a handsome stranger who sparks an interest in Lauren. Please contact me if you're interested ([email protected]).

Robert Jacoby | 1 comments Hi all,

I'm seeking reviewers for my debut novel, There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes. Details below.

Genre: Literary/Teen/Coming of Age

Back Cover Text:

You need your eyes, don't you?

So does Richard Issych. Two weeks ago he overdosed. Now he's fighting for his life, finding threatening notes like that one on his nightstand.

"There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes" is the story of 19-year-old Richard Issych, who wakes to a harsh new reality inside an inpatient unit. Now Richard's journey turns into one of revelations and struggling through his own reasons for being as he discovers new meanings for redemption, sacrifice, hope, love-and the will to live.

In the end, what are the reasons Noah packed no clothes? Richard can only imagine. But it has something to do with a size 3XL bowling shirt with the name "Noah" stitched over the pocket.

There are reasons . . . everyone uses his own dictionary.

There are reasons . . . some new heavens come from some new hells.

There are Reasons Noah Packed No Clothes

GR book page: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/16...
Amazon book page: http://www.amazon.com/There-Reasons-N...

Please IM here on GR if you'd like an epub to review (I have a few paperbacks if you'd prefer that). It would be appreciated if reviews could be posted on Goodreads, Amazon, your blog, etc.

Thanks!

Gary Markwick (garymarkwick) | 35 comments Hi,
My name is Gary Markwick and I am looking for reviewers who like self help books.
Mine is called "Now it Begins" and is practical and spiritual with ancient learning sand short stories. The book is split into 10 distinct phases.

As the world is changing fast, a great shift of universal energy is taking place. Some of us are aware of this and are ready to move forward and leave behind an old world that has suffered from greed, selfishness, anger, blame and hatred. This means, raising our vibration of energy from within and connecting with one another on a higher and faster frequency that is happening now on this planet. For some this is inconceivable and for others, the transformation has already begun."
My website for the book is

Charles Schmidt | 11 comments Always looking for reviews for my novel World of Vacancy from Lucky Bat Books.

"Welcome to the sun-tortured streets of Arizona, a place where the darkest secrets get snagged on barbed wire and justice is as deadly as it is patient, a place where something supernatural is afoot and redemption comes at a bloody price.

Terrified people are making startling confessions to Hack, a complete stranger, and are never seen again.

A crew of hardened criminals preys upon those who prey upon others, thriving in a world where brutality is routine.

Nick, a troubled young man, sheds his addiction to alcohol via a headfirst dive into that world of crime.

Welcome to Nick and Hack's world. Welcome to a World of Vacancy."

Hi Karen,

I wondered if you would be happy to review my thriller/crime novel with a legal slant, The Eighth Square. Happy to send you a paperback copy or pdf - I have so few reviews on goodreads anmd would like to chnage that.

Here is a teaser:

Jack Lauder, a man of simple pleasures, was a successful lawyer who enjoyed nothing more than climbing in the mountains and a good old competitive game of chess. But he is about to be dragged into a deadly world of deception, where truth and fiction become inseparable, and the life he knew will be changed forever.

The battle for his sanity begins when his wife, Rachel dies after a tragic climbing accident during a snowstorm. He found it hard to mourn her loss because her body was never recovered. Now, the question of her existence taunts him as she continues to appear before him. His sense of reality is on the verge of collapse, but right now that is the least of his worries ...

Somebody has a very personal vendetta against Jack and he must put all the pieces of the puzzle together to figure out why he is being framed. He finds himself caught up in a web of drug-smuggling and murder. In a haze of confusion, Jack will have to think several moves ahead to survive this hostile game against an opponent who will stop at nothing until Jack is annihilated.

Here is the blurb: The magic of Christmas has been lost to Jacob Winston. At the suggestion of his ill sister, Jacob takes a job as a Secret Santa at the mall, hoping to restore his Christmas spirit. Even that doesn't seem to work, until a special little boy ambles up to make a very special wish...
Cheyenne Jensen is struggling to raise her two kids without the help of her ex-husband who refuses to acknowledge his daughter's existence and doesn't provide for the son he does. This Christmas is shaping up to be as heartbreaking as the last, until her son Ben's kind actions lead a stranger to them.
Ah, but it's Christmas time and the magic has begun.
When Jacob and Cheyenne meet, neither can deny their immediate attraction to one another. As situations arise that require they spend more time together, their feelings grow stronger and stronger.

Maybe this holiday will bring some wishes come true- for everyone after all.

John Matson | 2 comments Hi everyone, I too would appreciate anyone interested in reviewing a memoir: Rainbow Colored Eyes. An excerpt is posted here. If the style is appealing, it is consistent throughout with an upbeat pace. Please email me for a pdf or html copy. http://www.goodreads.com/reader/31439...

The book is a candid and authentic journey through the sometimes glorious, sometimes treacherous terrain of the mind and spirit of a young man seeking to know the world he is floundering in and find his place in it. Eric’s exploration into manhood begins when he makes a break from the expectations of parents, friends, and society and, on a whim, quits university in Boston to head out with his older brother on a road trip across the country to Vancouver. He wants to find out what life is all about. He wants to find something worth living for. He wants to know what his destiny is. From Vancouver, the trip becomes a solo journey to San Francisco, and then on to Guatemala, Central America, and South America.

He is often conflicted between joy and despair as he faces fears, both internal and external, in a self-constructed rite of passage that takes him to the summits of mountains, into the deepest jungles, and into war torn countries. He faces his fears and insecurities, too often with the assistance of drugs or alcohol, on a path that leads to growth and of understanding of what it means to be a man. He discovers that both breath-taking beauty and mind numbing ugliness can exist together in the world. He also discovers that they can co-exist in the person, and more specifically within himself. The reader is taken on a delightful and torturous ride with Eric and is given the rare and privileged opportunity to witness the unapologetic psychology of a young man striving to be more than just a man.

Thanks so much,
John

Walter Spence (walterspence) I would like to hear from reviewers who would be interested in reviewing my novel, House of Shadows, a paranormal/urban fantasy novel, first of a series titled 'The Breed Wars'.

Anyone who would like to do a bit of vetting beforehand can preview the first twenty-nine pages at my website, located at http://www.sff.net/people/walter.spence. Just scroll to the bottom of the page for the link. I can make ebook versions in .mobi and .epub format available. You can email me at [email protected].

Here is the back cover blurb from the trade paperback version:

The Sleeper has awakened, hear the call!
Houses, witness the breaking of the seal.
To part his flesh, the edge of doom shall fall,
And spill his blood, his purpose to reveal.

Their origins lie in a distant and almost forgotten past. Though humanity refers to them as vampires, they have long had another name for themselves. The Breed.

Since the days of Coloque, the Separation, they have dwelled among us (but not of us), hidden by a protective cloak of ignorance and superstition which has shielded them as their wealth and power have grown. Their society is represented by twelve Great Houses, each a law unto themselves, answering to no one outside of their own familial walls for untold centuries.

Those days are no more.

For a hidden terror has surfaced, threatening Breed and human alike. One by one the scions of House Ember have vanished, swallowed by a secret and frigid darkness now threatening those Houses which yet remain. And their last hope has lain somnolent for decades within the shimmering clouds of a silver dream.

Until now.

For the Sleeper has awakened.

Darlene Deluca (darlenedeluca) | 42 comments Hi all!
I'd love to have a review of my just-released book, Unexpected Legacy. It's a novel with strong romantic elements. Here's the back blurb:
Matt Dalton’s world is spinning off its axis. Without warning, he’s thrown into the world of parenting a teenager. Matt meets his son for the first time when the sixteen-year-old is dealing with the consequences of a tragic car accident. Not only has Brady lost his best friend, he faces disability and scars both physical and emotional.

Determined to do whatever it takes to give his son a second chance, Matt looks to his alma mater to step up and help Brady regain his athletic abilities and sense of self. But sparks fly when he meets the high school principal, the captivating Kate Austen. Kate is ready to take Brady under her wing, but to her that means helping him refocus and find a new passion – using his brains rather than his brawn. Kate fully expects the younger Dalton to come with issues and challenges . . . his father may prove to be the biggest one of all.

Though the chemistry is hard to ignore, Kate fights to keep her personal feelings and professional life separate. At the same time, Matt struggles to gain his son’s trust, and Brady must face the road to recovery and find a way to accept the changes in his life.

There's no graphic sex. A little profanity. Along the lines of a Barbara Delinsky novel. Let me know if you're interested. Thanks!

I'll give you a fair review if you will gift me a copy -- [email protected]

I'm working on a YA sci-fi novel now which is the reason for my interest. It's not finished but I also have other books already published. See my Goodreads page. I would be delighted if you choose to review one of them, but I'll read yours regardless.

Hello, I'm looking for honest reviews of my upcoming New Adult Paranormal Romance/Horror novella, Lisez la Fleur (Read the Flower) ~ Part One: The Beautiful Beginning. I'm offering a PDF copy by email, if the reader will read the book by February 5th, and post a review here on Goodreads, and on Amazon when it's available (release date is February 14th).

Lisez la Fleur (Read the Flower) ~ Part One The Beautiful Beginning (Fleur Passages Volume #1) by Alexandra Lanc

Twenty-year-old Lorine Stringfield’s life is about to change forever, and she doesn’t even know it.

Weighted down by the death of her father, her overbearing mother, and the sadness of her little brother, Lorine has less than high hopes for her family’s trip to France. But all of that changes when she is invited to visit the illustrious Chateau du Jumeaux – a premiere nightclub that only the most privileged attend. Lorine jumps at the chance to do something for herself, but gets more than she bargained for when she discovers the terrible truth: the chateau isn’t a nightclub at all, but a feeding ground for perhaps the most ruthless of beings, the creatures known as vampires.

Part one in the Fleur Passages, a collection of novellas to later be sewn into one novel, The Beautiful Beginning starts the epic tale of Lorine. This novella marks the first in a series of ebooks in which readers can take part with "Reader Participation" -- inside of the ebook there is a question directly linked to the next volume in the Fleur Passages, and readers can vote for their favorite answer, to have a say in what happens next!

Genres and information: this novella series is classified as Mature YA/New Adult Fiction, Paranormal Romance, and Old-Fashioned Horror/Suspense; this novella series contains violence, and may not be suitable for younger readers.
