Goodreads Librarians Group discussion

While browsing Daphne du Maurier, one of my favorite authors, and adding her books to my shelves, I noticed that several of her books are listed twice, under her author profile. This happened last week, with another author, because the author was listed as author twice. I checked, but she's only listed once.

I'd appreciate it if someone would put a fresh (fully awake) set of eyes on this, and see if you can tell me why they're showing twice? I'm afraid I'm going to look stupid, here, but no afraid enough to ignore it. :)

"Mary Anne," and "The Birds" are two with duplicate listings but there are others. "Mary Anne," at least, appears to be an exact duplicate, with 20 versions.

And while I'm at it, why is this NABbed? It looks like a cassette version of the audiobooks...

I'm afraid to mess with NAB's, right now, after the thread from this weekend. If someone will tell me HOW to fix this, if it's wrong, I'll be glad to do it...I thought the authors were supposed to be replaced with NOT A BOOK?

Oh sorry, I went ahead and fixed it while I was looking at it. I just removed the NOT A BOOK author. It was added as an additional author and nothing else had been changed.

All the ones showing twice have at least one edition with the author listed twice. Working on fixing now.

I had the same problem. I took a pen name due to legal issues with my married name. I see you were quick to remove the other one, thank you so much. Now I need to get my new bookcover put on. How do I do that? thank you so much for your help:)

Thanks, Rivka...so I was correct that the NOTABOOK *was* actually a book. Just want to make sure I'm reasoning properly when dealing with these.

And DUH...I didn't think to check every edition...hence I needed MORE COFFEE!
