I have one question, though. Can I just edit this message to update my progress, or would it be best to post a new message each time I read a book for this challenge?

I would think that would be ok. Lisa Kay?

No problem Lisa Kay :)

I was going to say something... but the good news is that you get to read the next book in the Travises series! :-)

Now I just have to do the challenge!

I was going to say something... but the go..."
This is my first Challenge Lisa Kay. This may be a silly question, but these are books we have not read yet and will read over the next 14 months? Not books we have already read?

'It Happened One Autumn'? I think that could work.

As Fiona said, It Happened One Autumn Wallflowers #2 (Title). There is a character named Ivo Jenner, is Evie's father and ex boxer; owns a gambling/prostitution joint and dies of consumption in The Devil in Winter Wallflowers #3.

Also:
Iris Harcourt is a character in Midnight Angel .

Both anthologies, Wish List and A Historical Christmas Present, contain Lisa Kleypas’ story entitled “I Will”.

I will take setting also, and in Suddenly You, ♥Jack Devlin, owner of the largest publishing house, John T. Devlin, is half Irish, black hair, bright blue eyes, and recalls his childhood there, with ♥Amanda Briars.

However, this still doesn’t give you much of a choice, so I’ll open it up and say, for the letters I, O, X, or Y you can choose a book whose main characters have the letter within their name, but only for Lisa Kleypas’ books (Suddenly You works, see above). This will let you start with the FIRST IN A SERIES :
♥Simon Hunt in Secrets of a Summer Night Wallflowers #1
♥Liberty Jones and Gage Travis in Sugar Daddy Travises #1
♥Julia Wentworth aka Jessica Wentworth in Somewhere I'll Find You Capital Theater #1
♥Wilihelmina Lawson, (“Lawless” Lily) and Alex, Earl of Raiford, in Then Came You Gamblers #1
♥Vivien Duvall in Someone to Watch Over Me Bow Street Runners #1
For anyone with the letters “O” or “Y” or “X” and you want to start at the beginning of a series:
(also see Liberty)
♥Annabelle Peyton in Secrets of a Summer Night Wallflowers #1
♥Holland "Holly" Taylor and ♥Zachary Bronson in Where Dreams Begin – standalone
♥Alex, Earl of Raiford, in Then Came You Gamblers #1

Let me know if anyone has any difficulty!

Oh, I think I'll read the ones I picked, including Secrets of a Summer Night. And I made sure I picked books not yet released, so I can pace myself on this challenge. lol

I stole this from Nothing but Reading Challenges because it looked like so much fun. The only requirement I have added is that one of the books must be written by Lisa Kleypas! We can set it up for 14 months (start in April, if you read any LK then) - to be completed over the next 12 months, so that will give us time to add the latest Friday Harbor series book coming out in January, 2012.
This is what Lisarenee posted:
This challenge is inspired by one of my favorite authors, Lisa Kleypas. She has a character in her Hathaway series call Beatrix (aka Bea) who loves animals. She goes so far as to use animals to describe the personalities of people. So find out what your inner animal is so you can participate in this challenge. And don't forget to read. Go to: Kleypas’ What Type of Animal Are You? Quiz.
So here is the complete list of animals:
Lion
Pony
Rabbit
Hen
Fox
Hedgehog
Ferret
Cat
Swan
How do I play?
Step 1 - Answer the Quiz and find out what animal you are.
Step 2 - Read your animal by spelling it's name out and using the letters to pick your books. The letter must correspond to the first letter of a title, the first letter of an author's first or last name, or the first letter of a character's first or last name from the book. Just let us know what the link to the letter is if it's not obvious.
And, no, you don't need to read a book by Lisa Kleypas, but you can if you want to.Can I Have an example please?
I'm a Swan. :) So I might read:
S - Seduce Me at Sunrise by Lisa Kleypas
W - J.R. Ward (author - aka Jessica Bird) The Billionaire Next Door (The O'Banyon Brothers)
A - Amelia (character) in Mine Till Midnight, by Lisa Kleypas
N - Never Cry Werewolf, by Heather Davis
Seduce Me at Sunrise begins with S so that is the link to S.
Ward is the author's last name and it begins with W so that is the link to W.
Amelia is a character of the book Mine Till Midnight by Lisa Kleypas. Since Amelia starts with A that is the link to A.
Never Cry Wolf starts with N so that is the link to N.
Lisa Kay's note: Calling a lord by their title is acceptable. For example, using "Wolverton" for Lord Alex Raiford, the arrogant Earl of Wolverton in Then Came You is fine.
