Mine came across my NPR feed this morning. It was hard not to read the write up but I did like the cover so I requested it from the library. Now let's hope it arrives within the challenge period!
I'll have to stop by the library and pick something up. This ought to be fun!

Yes, it's always a hardship going to the book store. At least it's a hardship on my wallet. LOL!
I found one on my shelf I chose from a table of offerings at a BookCrossing meeting based on front cover and title alone. Yay - I'm in!

Yes. You will need to tell me how many stars you rate it, and why you chose it. It will be easier for me if I have one entry per person.
I don't think I'll have time to join in with this one, but it sounds great and I can't wait to read about everyones choices :D

I finally started my challenge book. I am pretty sure it's okay that I picked it by it's cover (I even told a friend about picking it) but THEN I read the back cover/flap/info. Of course THAT made me reluctant to read it but, as I tell my kids, "a deal is a deal". I had a couple of others to finish first and I finally got to it last night ... but so far so good (only 22 pages in). Big Girl Small: A Novel

They must have fixed the problem. I've been having problems in the last couple of days. I'll go to post and get a message saying that there was a problem with saving my post.
Dang. Somehow I missed this challenge in all the goodness of GoodReads and I've already got a line-up of books I'm reading not at all based on covers! I'll have to pick it up next time around. I'll be looking forward to seeing everyone's results!

I'm with Sandy who wrote about missing this one. I'm bummed b/c I could do this, but I don't have time to do it now! haha. Will there be another challenge like this about books judged by cover alone? lol
Perhaps we'll revisit it another time, or modify it. I haven't had a chance to read the book I picked either.
Yay! It's the 15th, now we can know what all the scores meant.

Here are the challenge rules:
1. Read a book that you choose based SOLELY on the cover. Do not read the back cover, the reviews, or the excerpts to assist in your decision.
2. The book may not be one you've read before. It may be from your TBR or wishlist but ONLY if you chose it based solely on the cover.
3. It may be a hardcover, paperback, or ebook. It may not be an audiobook because the cover may be hard to verify on Goodreads.
4. The book must be read between May 15, 2011 and June 15, 2011. (No starting prior and no finishing after.)
5. When you post your success to the reporting thread, click on the "add book/author" link about the comment box and click on "cover" (not link). Make sure you select the edition you read, not the first one that comes up. If you need help doing that, ask for assistance. It may be easiest to search by ISBN number.
6. Tell us the date you finished reading it and how many stars you gave your review.
I have a list of point qualifiers that I won't share with you until I post the results. The reason I'm keeping them a deep dark secret is so that they don't influence the book you choose. There could be points based on colour of the cover, title, authour, etc. That is why it is so important to post the actual edition you read.
