★ Jess | 3071 comments Nikki, some wonderful books there. It looks like we have a very similar taste, since most of your books I have read/plan on reading :)

The Dead-Tossed Waves is just as good as its preceder and The Book Thief is the best stand alone book I have ever read-its beautifully written.
Let me know what you think of White Cat, since thats on my TBR list :)

The book is one of my favorites, but I didn't watch the movie so can't debate on this :) I will try to find it as few people mentioned it already - looks like it's worth watching!

Neko Really enjoying the books people are posting :D Which is one thing i love about these challenges you get to see everyone elses tastes in books for the same question.

@Monya- It's strange when the movie ends up being better than the book! I've noticed that on occasions I've enjoyed the movie a lot more than the book but it's very rare case.

I just had a senior mind flash - the producer/director was David Lean. How could I forget? But I did. Senior mind failure.

Yes, definitely worth it if you like old style movies. It's got Omar Sharif (= Juri Zhivago), Julie Christie (= Lara) and Geraldine Chaplin (= Tonya) in it. They made a remake a few years ago with Keira Knightly as Lara - I remember thinking that it was just awful... :)

@ Monya, I loved the book! :D (but it's been such a long time that I read it, maybe if I read it again I'll change my mind.. :) )

Great list Michael! If you go out quickly and buy one for #4, that means you won't buy it in the challenge months...;), #8 can be added anytime in the 3 month period, as can #5, and you might need to re-read the clues for #6, and change your book ;) lol
