Mandy Moody | 544 comments This is the longest part of any book about Katharine of Aragon.
Can you imagine living it?
I love when her duenna is moaning about the fact that she's 17...17! An old woman already! LOL

Henry VII is lusting after our little Catalina and wants her for his own. I can see that...she WAS young and beautiful...

Misfit | 696 comments Yes she was, but that was a hard one for me. Seriously, after three Henry's lusting after a beautiful woman books in two months my cup really ran over with it.

One thing I did pick up on, and more so towards the end of the book was even back then PG does have that tendency towards repetition. Not nearly as bad as now, but it is still there.

BTW, have you seen these?

There are plentiful four letter words in those videos. Careful where you are watching it before you click.

Mandy Moody | 544 comments Misfit - watched your videos - hilarious! This girl is quite passionate about hating PG! She's you, isn't she?
Totally kidding. She really is funny, though.

I totally agree with the repetition part. It's irritating and SO overdone!

Mandy Moody | 544 comments Old Henry is dead, and new Henry wants our Katharine for his very own. Joy!

How often did something like this happen? A widow was married to her husbands brother? She was made Queen of England twice...it seems exceptional. Were there any other times that something like this happened? I can't think of any, but I'm probably not as well versed as some of you are.
I wonder because this book makes me think that Katharine's own ambitions must have had something to do with it...no matter what her motivations were (and no - I don't believe that it was an idea planted by the dying breath of her beloved.)
