I just finished reading

Rena
I`m glad that you had a good time reading the book.
You're most welcome :)

I just finished The Talisman Ring last night. After reading a lot of paranormal books, it was a refreshing change! I even purchased (okay, it was free) another of her books to read on my Kindle in the future. Thanks for the suggestion! I hope to read the other one some time next week while I'm on vacation.

I just finished reading

I'm really glad you liked it!!

Glad you enjoyed it Sue - they are a definitely change in pace from most of the romance books (even historical)... Their strenght is in Heyer's writing skills IMO...

Okay!x x

I thought that was why you had commented on it!
LOL!
And yes, I changed my pic to show the world I'm a mighty Jade Dragon (my team for a group challenge).
I'm dying to get to Kiss of Snow but then I want to really savor each book since I'll have to wait a whole year for my next fix. "
LOL!! started reading this series short after i made the rec.. and cant stop......**sighs**
i HOPE you get a chance into the "funny" book category i have a gut feeling you would find them enjoyable. :p.
ps: kick-ass avatar!! hhehe xoxoxo

YAY!!!!!! :D xxxxxx

Rossy and D.G.,
LOL, I've just been really bored with RL.

I finished two of my June PicksA Quick Bite and The Trouble With Magic. I listened to A Quick Bite on audio and it was done really well. Trouble with Magic was a fun light fun read.
thank you for the great picks.

Thank you again for the great r..."
Yes I did the same. The first two books are my favorite of the series so far.

Something About You by Julie James 6/1
Grave Witch by Kalayna Price Buddy Read 6/6
Undertow by Cherry Adair Buddy Read 6/7
The Royal Treatment by MaryJanice Davidson 6/8
Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper 6/16
Truly, Madlyby Heather Webber 6/19

I also finished my buddy read with Kami on 6/7. I gave The Darkest Night 4 Stars!

I am currently about 100 pages into The Help.

I finished The Corset Diaries last night. As advertised parts were LOL funny. It was an amusing read and also had more heart to it than I would have thought. Highly enjoyable.
I also started The Reader on audio. I think I actually did read this when it came out. But I'm enjoying the Campbell Scott narration anyway. Don't know if I'll finish that one, even though it's short, because I typically only listen to audiobooks during my commute and and I'm vacation for the week but we'll see.
Thanks for the great picks!

i also finished The Far Away Years which is full of angst. i had a love/hate relationship with this one...
aaaannnnddd...last but not least, i finished up The Ghost on My Couch which i thought was fabulous. i love my books with a little humor and a hea and this one hit all the right notes :) thanks for some great picks!

Inga,
I finished Angelfire half an hour ago and giving it 5 stars without a doubt. I enjoyed the storyline - for once the heroine isn't a naive little girl, but quite a badass and I love it how the writer tangled mithology into the story, it all fits so perfectly. Once I started reading I couldn't stop, so thank you for this great rec!

I finished up Magic Slays And as much as I freaking love this series, this one still might have gotten lost in the mountain of a TBR. {hangs head in shame} It happens. So, ..."
Switchie, I'm so glad you liked my picks. Good plan to read Mother Goose at home ;) That one is a scorcher! It was fun choosing for you...grinning is good ;)

Katie, I'm so glad you liked your picks! I also love JR Ward and the whole BDB series. The Ghost On My Couch looks really cute, I'm putting that one on my tbr- glad it was good!

Get away from Blas you hussy! (That's the male narrator). He's mine! Mine! :p
I loved that audiobook. I still have it on my iPod and I re-listen parts of it all the time. :)

I'm so glad you liked it!! It is one of my favorites. The second book is good too and there is a third one coming out soon about the youngest brother!!

Thanks for reading it with me! It was fun, as usual. =)

Catching up on posts now and will be doing a completed list tonight!

Pam, this book is maddening! Sorry it took so long for me to get it in, but I started it yesterday and and now am more than halfway through. This is my first Jennifer Ashley and she is so easy to read. Ian is driving me crazy with his antics. I feel the need to fly through the book in order to catch up with him. Great read thus far.

I finished two of my reads...Highlander Ever After: this one was a pretty good...great ending to the trilogy!
Also finally started a..."
Great to hear you enjoyed it. Just discovered a coworker( who I've worked with for quite a few years)has the series in hardcover. She fastly became my personal library. Keep me up to speed on your opinions of the rest. ;0)

But seriously, I'd say Feed may be one of the best books I've read in the past few years.
I've also finished my pick, Just the Sexiest Man Alive by Julie James. Her dialogue kills me, though I found the romance a bit more subdued than some of her other books.

I had trouble getting into this at first. I usually love retold fairytales, so I'm not sure what the problem was. It was a beautifully told story, but the pacing felt slow. I'll probably try to read the next book at some point.

LOL, Amanda! I don't think I've ever read 3 picks in all the time I've been participating in the challenge. And I even managed to do a buddy read with Caroline! :)

At least the author has potential and you might enjoy one of her other books, I liked her voice.

I read both Wicked Appetite and Darkfever... I have to say I wasn't as Impressed with either as I had hoped to be... I did like them both, But I feel like the all of the Janet books are so similar and I was hoping this one would be a little different and it really wasn't. as for Darkfever, I did like it and I will probably read the next one, however from all of the times I have seen it recommended and the great reviews I guess I was hoping to be blown away... I don't feel like any questions were really answered almost like it should have been just the first half of the book... again, I will still pick up the next one if only to appease my curiosity... either way I always appreciate a recommendation and and I am hoping to read Graceling and True Colors soon too!
