What a shocker!!

I had a funny one of Georgette Heyer's books - the couple pictured on the cover were not the main H/h but one of the minor 'sticks in the wheel'...
The Grand Sophy by Georgette Heyer - Sandra kindly uploaded it for me :)

message 52: by Lindsey (new)

Lindsey (mammalynz) | 50 comments I am in! but I'm having a really hard time choosing just one...
If I could find a Mysterious man in uniform drinking from a woman in period dress while she clings to another man that would be a must buy!!! however since I must choose just one this month I will go for...b. Dark Mysterious character biting someone's neck or hiding in the darkness I seem to be binging on Paranormals recently...

message 53: by Dee (new)

Dee (austhokie) | 7316 comments that book goes for huge money now though because the cover is soo butt ugly...haha!

message 55: by Stormy (new)

Stormy | 144 comments I'm in and I'll go with Option D, even though Option B is a very close, almost imperceptible second.

message 56: by Anna (new)

Anna (ants) | 30 comments I am in! I will go with option B.

message 57: by SandyC (new)

SandyC (sandyc88) | 1287 comments I am a moody reader....but if I have to choose one...
I'm in for Option C. Thanks!

message 58: by Emily May (new)

Emily May (emily-may) I'm in! I tend to try my best not to judge by the cover... still, think I'd have to go for A.

message 59: by Pollyanna (new)

Pollyanna (polly8) | 300 comments I'm in I would got for option B, love my paranormal romance :)

message 60: by Debbie (new)

Debbie (db_debber) | 2757 comments oh, I almost missed this one.
All of the above :p
I like a cover to look good, but if I have to choose....
B or D ok, fine B

message 61: by Laura (new)

Laura Williams | 144 comments Count me in!

If I had to choose, I would go with B.

message 62: by Suzanne (new)

Suzanne (esmerelda1) | 2244 comments I'm in and I'm definately an Option B (Dark mysterious character biting someone's neck or hiding in the darkness)!

message 63: by Diane ~Firefly~ (new)

Diane ~Firefly~ | 1512 comments I'm in and option B.

message 65: by Ashley♥Alexis (new)

Ashley♥Alexis | 309 comments Sign me up!

I'm sad I can only pick one. It's a toss between Option B and D. Hmmm I guess I'm going to go with option D.

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

signing up and picking B.

message 67: by Polina (new)

Polina (p0lit0o) | 71 comments I'm in!

Covers rarely influence me when I choose books. From this options I'd choose D.

message 68: by Tiffanny (new)

Tiffanny Usually I like simple covers that aren't overly harlequin-esque. I'm more of an A or D reader. I like paranormal romance but not so much vampires and werewolves, more of the different creatures that can also be paranormal. I like pretty much anything for erotica romance as well. More the military theme I like stuff along the lines of the nauti series or renegade/maverick/live wire series

message 69: by Heather (new)

Heather (messybar) | 189 comments I'm in too.
I tend to be more drawn to abstract or nature related covers. For this challenge though, I'm probably more in line with A (Man in Uniform).

Which one would you like Tiffanny - A or D?

message 71: by Sarah (new)

Sarah Dizon (sarahd828) | 236 comments I'm in, option B :)

message 72: by Sue (new)

Sue (knitwitsl) | 226 comments I'm in. While I like paranormal romances, if I'm choosing by a cover I'm more influenced by choice A, a man in a uniform!

message 73: by ~Sara~ (new)

~Sara~ | 667 comments I'm in and judging from my bookcase I'd say c, a woman in period dress (although my e-reader is much more d since they're harder to find in paper format!).

message 74: by Ari (last edited May 23, 2011 11:27AM) (new)

Ari (moochew12) | 159 comments I'll be partaking...Uh c.

message 75: by moulin (new)

moulin | 44 comments I am in. Medieval swordplay with hard bodied mages that turn into dragons and evil lurking in a corner seems to combine a, b, and c. I guess I'll go with c.

message 76: by Shellbelle (new)

Shellbelle | 195 comments I'm in, and I won't lie and say that certain covers don't attract me, but I try not to let it influence me one way or another.LOL And I guess I will go with Option B, the neck biting, mystery person one!

message 77: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm an A, but I would never read a book for the cover!

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

I'm in! Option C sounds about right!

message 79: by Pam (new)

Pam | 1048 comments I'm in and I'm a C. A cover will attract me but not necessarily turn me away--I do enjoy a man with a nice chest though.

Tiffanny, I've just updated the list so I've put you down as a D.

message 81: by Tuğçe (last edited May 25, 2011 12:53AM) (new)

Tuğçe Gökırmak (tugcenidasevin) Oh! I was almost missing this... I was on a vacation and didn't have much chance to log in. Anyway I am definitely in! and period dress and two guys and a girl are both influences so can't decide which would do better... Just choose for me and write me in one of them and save me please Tania :)

message 82: by Katherine (new)

Katherine (kebrand0112) Cover's don't sway me much, but I will pick B.

Macwolf01 [Elise] (macwolf01) | 1012 comments I'm in, I'm A or B but if I have to say which I choose more often lately its B but if you're short on names in A that's excellent with me too

THX E

Autumn (sweetdenial) | 1471 comments Can i still sign on?? !!!

if so, im an A . I love creative covers... and hunks count in too! :P

covers are definitely catches my eye, but does not always make justice to the book.

thank you Tania. :)

message 85: by [deleted user] (new)

Yay my first challenge, I'll join! I'm have to go for B even though it seem like I've been drowning in the paranormal lately. As for covers, I can be attracted to flashy ones but it's the book summary that holds the final judgment. I learned the hard way...sigh.

Thanks for that Kerste - I go through and do a recheck prior to putting up the picks so I would have picked yours up - but it makes heaps easier if people point it out early.
