Amy,
I hope you like [book:Bet Me. It is one of my all-time favorites. In fact, I was all ready to re-read it yesterday, but my copy is loaned out to a friend. :(

Here are your picks-as usual I have trouble narrowing it down.

Wow! I just loved all the picks and had a really hard time deciding. (hence the delay in responding) But I think I narrowed the list down. I can start the buddy read anytime. The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie sounds just about right! ;0)
I am torn between Poison Study, Kiss of Fire and The Fallen:Raziel. I will see how many I can get through. And, thanks for the suggestion outside the box. Your choice of The Song of the Lioness and Protector of the Small, was spot on! I think I would love to begin reading those with my daughter later this summer.
First though a little R&R for mom with some great suggestions...

KarenH So many great choices! You did a great job with your picks. I want to read them all! I will definitely be reading Outlander, The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf, and No Place to Run. Then I'm also going to be trying to squeeze in a bunch of others because I really want to read all of these!
I'm going to try to read Simply Irresistible if you want to pick it up let me know when you get it and we can read it together. Also, let me know when you're ready to read Secrets of a Summer Night! If I'm not super busy I will read it with you as well. I've had it sitting around for forever.
Thanks so much girl! You've given me lots of books to look forward to next month!

Valerie ~Varuca~ I'm so glad you enjoyed so many of your picks! Let me know when you want to read
The Art of Seducing a Naked Werewolf and Unforgivable! I'm hoping to read the first one very soon so if you can get to it soon let me know.
I adore the O'Malley series. They were some of the first 'grown up' books I read when I was like 12 and I still read them!
I hope you enjoy reading!

Cool! I already have Hot In Here on hand, so you two just give me a date and I'll join in. Are you going to discuss the book throughout the read or just at the end? Also, will the discussions be done on this thread or through PM's?
I forgot to tell you that Slave to Sensation, was rec'd to me last month too. I have put my name in for it at my library. I'm excited to start the series, because I have read a lot about the author on this site. Thanks again!

I enjoyed looking through your selves. I tried to stick close to your TBR shelf, but I threw in a few other things. I hope you find something good for June!
From Their TBR Shelves
1- The Legend of the Werestag by Tessa Dare I find this title intriguing and the description seems to go right along with it.
2- Perfect Play – Jaci Burton This cover sure makes me happy.
3 - Just Like Heaven – Julia Quinn Until I can get a copy for myself I envy anyone with this book.
From Your Read Shelves
4 - Soulless by Gail Carriger I loved this book. It had everything I could want in a story plus a delicious mix of genres.
5 – Ecstasy by Jaquelyn Frank This book is about a race of people who live entirely in the dark. I found it very interesting.
6 – Open Season by Linda Howard This is one of my all time favorite books. I really identified with the heroine and the situations she gets into are very funny.
Buddy Reads
7 – I will be reading Kiss of Snow by Nalini Singh as soon as I can get my hands on it. I invite you to experience the fun with me.
8 - Love in the Time of Dragons – Katie MacAllister Sounds like this would be a good story, and I enjoyed her other dragon books.

Here are my rec's for you this month. I hope you find something here you like.
From your TBR shelf:
1. Intriguing:
It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips...A New York "Bimbo" inherits a football team just sounds like a fun time. I love the Chicago Stars series, they are fun reads.
Kiss of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning...The title always catches my attention and the cover, who wouldn't want to kiss that mouth.
2. Laugh:
Sex, Lies, and Online Dating by Rachel Gibson...I just thought the title was funny and so I read the book. Rachel Gibson is one of my fav fun authors.
The Darkest Hour by MAya Banks...I have never read this author but e=when I saw this cover I could not help but smile and think yummy.
3.Envious:
Dark Lover by J R Ward...I cannot stress how much I love the Black Dagger Brotherhood. I wish I was getting to read them for the first time.
Comanche Moon by Catherine Anderson...One of my favorite authors and probably my favorite of her books. Such an awesome story.
From My TBR Shelf
4. Feel Good/5 Stars:
Virgin River by Robyn Carr...This is the first in the Virgin River series and I have read 6 of the series in just over a month. The author tell really good stories about small town life.
Laid Bare by Lauren Dane...This book has some sizzle to it but it also has a lot of heart, soul and shows the healing power love can wield.
5.Stormy Night:
Born of Night by Sherrilyn Kenyon...I am a huge fan of this author but I was not sure about this series as it is a more sci-fi setting. I love this book and if I remember correctly stayed up one rainy night and finished the book. Loved it!
Night Road by Kristin Hannah...Some books just grab you and won't let you put them down, this is one of those books. Some rainy nights call for an emotional story and this fits the bill. Have your tissue at hand.
6.Make Me Laugh:
The Mane Event by Shelley Laurenston...This is actually to books in one. These books are laugh out loud funny and sizzle too.
One for the Money by Janet Evanovich...You can't go wrong with a Janet Evanovich book they are all fun. But Stephanie Plum is a hoot and the support characters are hysterical.
Buddy Reads
7.My TBR Shelf:
Backstage Pass by Olivia Cunning...I love rockers and the book has received good ratings/reviews. And by the way have mentioned i love rockers and the name of the band is The Sinners!
Simply Irresistible by Jill Shalvis...I have read many books by this author and this is the next on my list.
8.Your TBR Shelf
Flat-Out Sexy by Erin McCarthy...Yummy cover. I have read this author before and the book sounds fun.
Angels' Blood by Nalini Singh...I am a huge fan of her Psy/Changling series. This book has received awesome reviews and sounds really interesting.

From your TBR shelf:
1. Intrigue-
This category was really hard for me to narrow down since so many reads interest me!
It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips is a great book and part of a great series. I love her writing so much I try to save her books so that I don't read them all to quickly! Covet and Crave are both good, I enjoyed Crave way more though. I love J.R. Ward, she knows how to write men! The covers are nice to look at too!

2. Cover happy-
Mr. Darcy, Vampyre - This cover caught my eye and then the title made me giggle out loud! Mr. Darcy as a vampire? I have to get this book!
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon is one of my all time favorite series and fictional couple. Seeing the cover always makes me think of precious Jaime and Claire...sigh.

3. Envious-
I have been wanting to get these books because they look so good.
The Name of the Wind and Just the Sexiest Man Alive

My Read Shelves
4. 5 stars
Okay, these books aren't "feel good" books, but they were extraordinary in their own right.
Heart-Shaped Box - This book was pretty creepy, buy I enjoyed it thoroughly.
Chasing Brooklyn - This book is written in verse, so it flows beautifully and is a quick read. It is based on sadness and pulling yourself out. Loved it!

5. Stormy Night
Do you like a little romance with your rain or intense? I'm gonna give you both!
The Passage by Justin Cronin was one of the best reads of 2010. It is a bit long but worth every page.
Perfect Chemistry was a great teenage romance without all the typical fluff. Ganster vs. blond beauty...written surprisingly well.
To Pleasure a Lady is a great romance with great, naughty sex scenes! Not considered erotica, but way beyond typical historical romance.

pick-me-up
I noticed that you read the first book in the series, so I'm going to recommend that your read the next one, The Good, the Bad, and the Undead by Kim Harrison. I have read all of this series thus far and I love it. I'm a sucker for one liners and these books are full of them. Jenks cracks me up! The fourth book (I think) and the most recent one, Pale Demon, are probably my favorites in the series.
City of Fallen Angels is the most recent book in The Mortal Instruments series and is filled with one liners and quirky banters. I loved it. There was a part when Simon's band is playing a gig that had me laughing so hard I was crying!

Buddy Reads
7. My TBR
I'm going to be reading Dead Reckoning: A True Blood Novel and Darkfever this month and I noticed them on your tbr shelf as well. Let me know if you would like to join me on one of the reads.

8. Your TBR
If You Dare by Kresley Cole looks really good and I've been wanting to try this auther.

Good luck picking and happy reading!

Cacophony, excellent picks!!! So many good ones to choose from:D
I will def be reading

Also as far as the Buddy Read I would love to read

Hey Diane ~Firefly~! It took me longer then I intended to pick out your books, but I finally finished. I have a bad habit of second guessing myself, and plus, you reading most of the PNR books that I have, had me so nervoooooous. Anyhow, I had so much fun delving through your book that I stashed a couple to my own TBR list. I hope you at least enjoy one of the books I picked ^^! I had strangely too much fun picking them (and I was watching your books like a freakin’ stalker >___>).
From Their TBR Shelves
1 - Pick a book that makes you feel intrigued (by the storyline/cover whatever you choose) Midnight's Daughter
Normally I tend not to steer towards Vampire books as much as the other paranormal variety. I’m more of a shifter kind of gal. Releasing the inner beast claws and all, prowling the night on all fours—love it! Except this book surprised me; I really like the synopsis and the cover intrigued me enough. And who could pass up the daughter of Dracula?
2 - Pick a book with a cover that makes you laugh or feel happy
Falling for You
Unless it’s those ridiculous Fabio sorts of covers from historical romance, mostly a contemporary can make me LOL. This book seems like a funny and amusing read.
3 - Pick a book that makes you envious that it's on their shelves. Magic Strikes
Magic Strikes. I adore this book like no other. I just wish I hadn’t read it yet, so that I could get the full experience of it all over again. Hmm…I might go reread that now.
From Your Read Shelves
4 - Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars
Aint She Sweet
I noticed that this was on your TBR, and I just finished it and loved it! It has a great emotional pull with sassy characters, so I hope you enjoy it as much as I did if you pick this.
5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night
The Art of Racing in the Rain
Bingo. I observed that you are also a pet lover! I love dogs and also really enjoyed this book. I wish my dog was half as smart as Enzo…
6 - List the book you pick up when you most need a pick-me-up or a laugh
Dragon Bound
This was another of my recent reads. I picked this because you seem to also enjoy Dragon shifters. Actually this was the first time I read about a dragon and I doubt it’ll be my last. This book was both funny and action packed…in more ways than one.
Buddy Reads
7 - Pick the next book you want to read from your TBR shelf Graceling This book has been sitting here collecting dust since forever .
8 - Pick the book from their TBR shelf that you are seriously considering adding to yours.
Mind Games
I actually stole this from your shelf already, thank you :o]!

I so wish i could pick 100+ books for you, because they all were interesting in their own way. So here it goes!! I really hope you can find something you would want to read this upcoming month.
From Their TBR Shelves
1 - Pick a book that makes you feel intrigued (by the storyline/cover whatever you choose):
-Heart of the Dragon: I have tried Gena S, in the contemporary romance genre. Never tried her PNR`s. (although i have read great reviews)
-Clockwork Angel: this book has such an interesting story line, i would love to read it myself! :)
-The Woman I Kept to Myself: From the tittle to its premise. It resonated a lot with me i added it to my TBR.
-Mind Fuck: that was an instant LOL! as soon as i read the tittle.. ofc i wanted to know more about it, and i also had to snatch it off for me TBR as well!

2 - Pick a book with a cover that makes you laugh or feel happy
Well... there were several books that caught my eye.. lots of fun!.
-Enchanted, Inc.. the whole series have a very comical and if not engaging tittle.
-Hard and Fast. Well, this one fell more in the category of "make you feel good" I mean, it looks good!! hehe! Besides, you liked the first installment in this series, so its a win win!
-He Loves Lucy and Can You Keep a Secret?: theses a have made me laugh because of the lightness and uniqueness of the their plot. they are very fun books for a summer read.

3 - Pick a book that makes you envious that it's on their shelves.
In this category i mostly chose books from series that i so want to finally get a chance to read!!!
-Branded by Fire: you have a great liking for this author, as well as this series.
-And One Last Thing ...: I have seen it in some book clubs, but never really paid much heed to it. While browsing your TBR it only looked more appealing by the minute.
-Dance Upon the Air. I have been wanting to read this series forever!! I wish you could give it a try before me, and let me know your thoughts.
-The Beast in Him.. I have read really good reviews about the first book in the series.. i want to get to read it ASAP! :)

From Your Read Shelves
4 - Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars : As of lately i had the pleasure to discover a great writer: Pamela Clare. this past month i read all the books from the I-team series published so far. the last book i read was Breaking Point. And it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!. However, this series are best enjoyed when they are read in order. So Extreme Exposure would be a great start for this series. Its a must for romantic suspense readers.

5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night
There are more than a few books that hold a special place in my heart. I can always pick them up whenever i want to remember why i love romance so much!..
-Lord of Scoundrels: This is a classic for historical readers. Its just so well balanced. it has a little bit of everything: fun, emotion, depth.. I can always go back and revisit the characters knowing they would get a few laughs out of me.
-Garden Spells: This one is one of my all time favorites on magical realism genre. Sarah Addison has a way of writing that is always so soothing and engaging.
-ParadiseAnother of my favorite Classic favorite writers. Judith McNaguth really knows how to write angsty romance.
-Seduce Me at Sunrise: Lisa Kleypas is such a talented writer!! she is an auto-buy author for me. You started mine at midnight and rated well, the second installment on the Hathaway series is just as good!

6 - List the book you pick up when you most need a pick-me-up or a laugh
I have a rather sarcastic sense of humor, and you seem to like Gaiman and Moore. I personally love their work!! I also have enjoyed a few of David Sedaris ,Justin Harper, and Marta Acosta so here are some of the books that have made me LOL! with their sharpy wittiness.

From Your Read Shelves
4-Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars.
1-The last book I gave five stars to was Odd Mom Out . I am not sure if this is something that would interest you. But I did notice that you have Shiver listed on your TBR. This is a great series. Its beautifully written. I am anxiously awaiting the final book in the series.
5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night
1- I noticed that you have read a few books by Gena Showalter. I love her Lords of the Underworld series. The first book is The Darkest Night. These are always hot covers too.
2- Another great series is Midnight Breed. The first book is Kiss of Midnight. It’s a really interesting take on vampires.
6 - List the book you pick up when you most need a pick-me-up or a laugh
1-Suddenly You- I havent yet read anything by Lisa Kleypas that I didnt love. I am very picky with my historical romance books, but this one is one of my favs.

7 - Pick the next book you want to read from your TBR shelf
1-I noticed you have read Covet, but I didnt see Crave on your shelves. I am planning on reading this sometime this month.
8 -Pick the book from their TBR shelf that you are seriously considering adding to yours.
1- I plan on adding more than just one! Undercover sounds hot! I really enjoy futuristic books.

If you're going to be doing a buddy read don't forget you can just make a thread for the book here: http://www.goodreads.com/topic/group_...
It's a place where you can discuss the book/author as your read it, and who knows maybe somebody else will see it and more will join.
Fantastic job Tania, as usual!

Here are my June picks for you!
Thanks, Roxy! I will read either Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution or Ransom. :-)

From Your TBR Shelves:
1. Intrigue - Laughing Without an Accent. I found the concept to be hilarious and I always enjoy a good series of humorous memoirs, so perhaps you will too.
Ready Player One.The cover initially caught my interest since I love video games; however, not only is the cover quirky and nerdy but the plot seems intense and action packed.
2. Happiness - Howl's Moving Castle. I'm really glad to see this in your TBR pile. Definitely one of my favorite books and with Mrs. Diana Wynne Jones' most recent passing, I can't think of a better way to celebrate her literary works.
3. Envy - Kiss of Snow. I just started this series and immediately fell in love with Hawke. It's a shame I'll have to wait so long for his story, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't get to enjoy it as soon as possible, right?
Waiting for Godot. I'm envious because this reminds me so much of my high school English teacher who happens to be my hero. A great, philosophical work that reminds me of my passion for reading.
From My Read Shelves:
4. Five star feeling - Feed. Hopefully you don't mind a good zombie story, but if that doesn't sell you, perhaps a good dose of sibling shenanigans and political intrigue may change your mind. I could not keep my might off this book for days after I finished reading it.
Saving Francesca. A feel good, coming-of-age story. I found myself easily relating to the characters and that sort of heartwarming attachment is hard to find sometimes.
5. Stormy nights - Darkfever. I don't think you've started this series, but I definitely don't mind giving you a nudge to go right ahead. Once you start this whirlwind urban fantasy, you aren't going to want to stop. The entire series will keep you occupied even through the most intense downpours.
Battle Royale. If you liked The Hunger Games, then you'll probably enjoy this. I don't think I've read a book yet that has kept me as drawn to the edge of my seat as this one.
6. Pick-me-up - The Princess Bride. Light-hearted and fun. I guarantee you'll breeze through this book with a goofy grin on your face. It's just so cheeky and playful.
Bridget Jones's Diary. If I were a single, British, thirty-something, I would be Bridget Jones. Her embarrassing, clumsy, foot-in-mouth antics gave me a stitch in my side on more than one occasion.
Stardust. I absolutely love Neil Gaiman. His stories have a certain whimsical quality that provides the perfect escape. If you enjoy a good bit of fantasy with your romance, give this a shot.
Buddy Reads:
7. My TBR - Catching Fire. I just finished The Hunger Games and I would love to tackle the second one soon. My life needs more Peeta, I think.
8. Your TBR - Lessons From a Scarlet Lady. Sexy and scandalous! I'm a sucker for stories of women shedding their sense of propriety.
Daughter of the Flames. Besides the gorgeous cover, the description of the scarred heroine caught my attention. And it hints at the possibility of enemies turned lovers. Yum!

Here are my June picks for you!
Thanks, Roxy! I will read either Madame Tussaud: A Novel of the French Revolution or Ransom. :-)"
Great! Ransom was my first Julie Garwood read and I noticed that you have read The Secret, which was the first in the series. I will get
around to reading the Madame Tussaud book, maybe in July for Bastille Day! Have a great weekend!
Liv - thanks for the great picks and I'm glad you had fun. I'm probably going to read Midnight's Daughter and Magic Strikes in June. I have added Dragon Bound and The Art of Racing in the Rain to my wishlist on Amazon as well. "
That's good to hear, I hope you enjoy them as much as I did! ^-^

Reading Moods
From Their TBR Shelves
1 - The Sheriff of Yrnameer - this had a strange cover and name so I had to check it out. It seems very interesting.
2 - Nightlight: A Parody- I didn't know about this book and have added it to my TBR list. It looks funny. I love a great parody.
3 - Ten Big Ones - I have been wanting to read this series and have finally got the first one. You are up to ten already.
From Your Read Shelves
4 - Monster I loved this book. It is very different from most books I have read. It is a little bit mystery, paranormal and funny.
5 - I had a hard time picking this so I'm giving you two choices
Non-paranormal The Face of Deception - This is a great forensic mystery. It is the first book of a terrific series.
Paranormal Something from the Nightside I love this series that is different but similar to Harry Dresden series.
6 - Undead and Unwed- This is a great series when I want something light and funny. Queen Betsy is a great character sort of vampire light. LOL
Buddy Reads
7 - Death's Daughter- This is a book I've been wanting to read for quite a while now.
8 - Wicked Game - I saw this on your TBR list and it looks really interesting. I've already added it to mine.

Glad you found something in the recommendations. Don't think I'll be able to start The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie until next weekend. Just began A Discovery of Witches and its sizeable but is due back to the library on June 7.
It's been a long time since I read the Tamora Pierce books but if I recall they do mention puberty etc. so depending on the age of your daughter, you may want to preread. They are good though.

I hope you find something that you like out of this list!
From their shelves:
1. Something About You - I like the interactions that the people have, and the banter back ..."
Ok, so I think I'm going to tackle:
Something About You
Call Me Irresistible
The Royal Treatment
I would like to get to Buddy read Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs (in love with Molly Harper's writing). Let me know when you would be interested to start this one. =)

Suzanne
It looks like you do the same thing. Luckily, you also have a books-I-own shelf and I was able to narrow down your 3775 to-read books by crossing it with the other. Did I mention how grateful I am you have that shelf? LOL
Reading Moods
From Their TBR Shelves:
1 - Pick a book that makes you feel intrigued (by the storyline/cover whatever you choose)
Retold fairy tales fascinate me, so I was really intrigued by Happily Ever After by Holly Black et al. Patricia Briggs and Peter Straub in the same anthology just makes it that much more interesting.
2 - Pick a book with a cover that makes you laugh or feel happy
Shaun of the Dead is one of my favorite movies. Zombies with humor, what could be better? So I pick Flip this Zombie by Jesse Petersen.
I'm being a little liberal in interpreting this category, but I always laugh when I see the cover of Slave to Sensation by Nalini Singh. It’s just so wrong, the pinkness of the cover in no way conveys the wonderful world waiting inside.
3 - Pick a book that makes you envious that it's on their shelves.
Green with envy here. I want to read both of these books, but I haven’t been able to get them from the library yet.
Passion Play by Beth Bernobich
The Peach Keeper by Sarah Addison Allen
From Your Read Shelves
4 - Pick the last book that made you feel so good you rated it 5 stars
I absolutely adore Gini Koch’s Katherine “Kitty” Katt series. It has just the right amount of sarcastic snark without getting really annoying. I highly recommend Touched by an Alien by Gini Koch.
If you like historicals, the best one I’ve read recently is The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie by Jennifer Ashley.
5 - List the book you would curl up with on a stormy night
A dark stormy night deserves a dark stormy book. A long book, something to lose yourself in while the weather battles outside. Either one of the following would be just right.
Daughter of the Blood by Anne Bishop
Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey I’m excited that there’s only a couple more weeks until the next one comes out.

Linda Howard is my main go to author for comfort reads. My favorite is Mr. Perfect , closely followed by Open Season.

7 - Pick the next book you want to read from your TBR shelf
I’m going to try very hard to fit these in this month:
Grave Witch by Kalayna Price & When You Dare by Lori Foster
8 - Pick the book from their TBR shelf that you are seriously considering adding to yours.
Night Prayers by P.D. Cacek looks interesting, just let me know because I’ll have to request it through ILL. I already checked and there’s one library in my system that has a copy, it just takes a little while to get in some times.

Thanks for all the fun picks! It is really hard to decide! I am going to get out of my comfort zone and try Chasing Brooklyn if I can find a copy at the library. I would also like to read It Had to Be You, since it has been on my tbr pile for quite awhile. If you are still up for a buddy read I would like to read If You Dare this month, just let me know when it would be a good time. Actually I want to read all these books. I think I need an extra 24 hours in a day just for reading!

Cacophony,
Your welcome! I need extra time too! There is never enough time to read everything! I will be looking forward to hearing how you liked the books that you picked. I would love to read If You Dare this month with you. My friend owns that book so I just need to borrow it from her. I'll get back to you when I know when that will be. Take care.

Your TBR Shelves
1. Intrigued: Shiver by Maggie Steifvater –The story line of this book is so intriguing, it has a really unique take on werewolves (love the way weather plays a HUGE factor) and still stays traditional. I Am Legend by Richard Matheson I am both fascinated and terrified of Zombies, especially when they were created by a mistake in science! lol

2. Happy Cover: Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare- Love all of Cassandra Clare’s Covers! (and this book is amazing!) Bet Me by Jennifer Crusie- Like most women, shoes make me happy, so the cover caught my eye!

3. Envious: Magic Slays by Ilona Andrews- I would love to read this series and your already to book 5! It by Stephen King- I tried to read this book (love Stephen King) but I tried and it scared the crap out me (movie did too) so I’m jealous you can actually read it! lol

My TBR Shelves
4. 5 Stars: Simply Irresistible by Rachel Gibson- I noticed that you like Susan Elizabeth Phillips so I thought I would recommend Rachel Gibson who really reminds me of SEP! RG is an absolute fav of mine, and Simply Irresistible is the first in her Chinhook Hockey series (similar to the Chicago Stars by SEP) Dark Desires After Dusk by Kresley Cole- You had read up to 5 in this series, and that’s perfect because #6 is my favorite of the whole series!!! I give this 10 stars if I could :D

5. Stormy Night: Nothing like a good PNR on a stormy night, so here is a few 1st books in amazing PNR series- Pleasure Unbound (Demonica #1) by Larissa Ione, Awaken Me Darkly (Alien Huntress #1)by Gena Showalter, The Darkest Night (Lords of the Underworld #1) by Gena Showalter

6. Need a Laugh: Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs by Molly Harper- This series is so funny! Really anything by this author is good, if don’t want PNR, try And One Last Thing ..., one of my fav. Books ever :D First Grave on the Right- This is a new author, and the 1st in the series is a promising start!

7. Next Book on TBR: It Had to Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips- Noticed that you haven’t read the this yet, and I missed it somehow (read the rest in the series, and this is #1!lol) Been meaning to read it and this would be a perfect chance! Some Girls Bite by Chloe Neill- I really want to try this series, if you’re interested we could start it together!

8. Going to Add: Beastly by Alex Flinn- Added it already!!! Looks really good :D

Can't wait to see what you choose! And I would def. enjoy doing a Buddy REad anytime this month, just give me a day or two notice:)
Happy Reading:)

For some reason I've had a really difficult time making my picks this month. For one, between your TBR and wishlist I've not been able to find anything that would be considered 'new' to y..."
Hi Penney!
At last I am back on-line (rather than struggling from an android phone) :) I thought I had posted an acknowledgement of your picks, but I can't see it on here - I think I'm mildly technically-challenged ;)
I love your picks! I have just bought some of your selections so I have no excuses for not being able to pick a book! I haven't looked at the June monthly challenge yet (my next stop after I sort out Sue's PIFM selection...), so I'll post back here once I have sorted out my best book contortions for all these challenges :)
Thanks again.

Finally, here are your picks! Sorry it took me so long. And even with a TBR quite little I have added many books to my already huge to-read list. I am never going to make it smaller. Hope you can find something to enjoy.
From Your TBR Shelves
1.Slow Dancing on Price's Pier: A Novel by Lisa Dale - I haven't actually read this book or even knew about it until I saw it in your TBR but I liked the cover it made me feel at peace so I will probably read the book myself as well.
Shadow Princess: A Novel by Indu Sundaresan - I also have this in my TBR for a while know, I always like to read different cultures and the cover is beautiful.
2.Dash & Lily's Book of Dares by Rachel Cohn & David Levithan - I can't say the cover makes me laugh but i sure liked the cover it at least made me feel good and wanted to read it. A sweet cover I can call. This is the best I got to a happy/laughable cover I got in your TBR sorry! Besides I have read one of their novels (Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist and absolutely enjoyed it so that got my attention too)
3.Entwined by Heather Dixon - Oh I loved this cover the first time I saw and wanting to read it ever since.
From My Read Shelves
4.One Day by David Nicholls - I can't say it was all a happy book but I always recommend this, it had a serious effect on me when I read it and I know sometime in the future I will read it again.
5.The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman - This was my first Gaiman book and absolutely loved it, it is a very sweet story,it is all fantasy with loads of unrealistic elements but he has this miraculous way of storytelling that made you go very easily accepting all.
The Secret or Honor's Splendour by Julie Garwood - I have read 3 of her books (all historical) and enjoyed them, the dialogues made me even laugh at times.
6.Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris - Normally this sort of books are not my cup of tea but I had this one and happened to read it this month and enjoyed it pretty a lot. Will try to read Naked from him this month.
A Lot Like Love by Julie James or Call Me Irresistible by Susan Elizabeth Phillips are also good way to enjoy yourself and laugh out loud to the dialogues and happenings in the story.
Buddy Reads
7. I am totally at a lost on what to read next, I have a lot of books I need to finish for challenges and also got some books that caught my attention and can't wait to read. Besides I have a very bad habit of not reading the books I should read for challenges and got easily diverted from my reading lists :) so here is a few of what I am planning to read in June so maybe you find something to join me in - The Count of Monte Cristo for a group read, Among the Living for a challenge, Halfway to the Grave for a challenge...
8.Betrayal or Switch sounds good but I have added quite a few books to my TBR so it can be anything we have in common or from the picks I have made above.
It was my essay day I guess, sorry to keep it too long ;)
Happy Reading!

Haha, me too. I always scramble at the end of the month to finish the books. Glad to see I'm not the only one.

I am not sure which one to start with but I will try reading at least one of these, Cry Wolf (not sure I can make it to the second book this month but who knows ;) ) , My Summer of Wes, Bet Me (I have been getting this book as a rec every month so I guess it is time to go for it), And we can give it a try to Boy meets Boy or The Archer (which I got from your TBR and found pretty interesting but quite long, I must admit :) )

I loooove your shelves, we've got some books in common and I see we like alpha males... I almost got your list ready, sorry for the delay but I promise you'll get your recs tomorrow.

Sorry for the delay - I've finally returned :)
We are 81% similar in our ratings (I think Nalini Singh and JD Robb had a lot to do with it ;) however a lot the similarities were in books you had already read - so there was no lazy 'compare book' options for me. So I tip-toed into your rather restrained TBR shelf (only 64 books - I was impressed!) and here are my selections - hope you find something, and let me know if you were like me to 'repick'.
On your TBR pile:
Intriguing - DEAD ish by Naomi Kramer or You've Gone Too Far This Time, Sir! by Danny Bent. I haven't heard of either of these books or authors and they sound fun. They were completely out of left-field given our high compatability :) I would love to know what you think of them.
Happy/funny - Pack Challenge by Shelly Laurenston. Shelly writes a very entertaining story - you really need to give one of her books a go.
Envious - Kiss of the Highlander by Karen Marie Moning. This was one of the first series I consumed when I re-entered the reading world a couple of years ago and I definitely plan on rereading them one day. But it was from this book on through to the last full novel (book 7) that I rated them 5 stars.
On My 'Read' Shelf
Last 5 star read - Burning Wild by Christine Feehan. (OK, not quite the last because you have read those or they are outside your normal genres.) I don't believe you need to read the previous two Leopard People books by Feehan, but it probably helps with a couple of minor points - however, this book is definitely a stand out. I just loved it. Despite this lack of continuity, I would definitely recommend this book rather than have you miss it just because you haven't read the previous novella and book.
Stormy night 'comfort' read - The Talisman Ring by Georgette Heyer. I don't think you are into historical romance, however this was also one of my last reads and by an author I love. Heyer writes light-hearted stories with affection and humour. I generally love them, and they are a good back-stop when I need a comfort read.
For a spicier read: Roane by Marie Harte. There are four books in this series (Circe's Recruits). I really enjoy these novellas as stand-bys if I can't be bothered to read a 'big' book.
Pick Me Up - The Lion's Lady by Julie Garwood. This is very entertaining despite having a heap of unbelievable events/circumstances. Another historical - but very funny.
Games of Command by Linnea Sinclair. I am actually rereading this at the moment. I think you read the occasional sci-fi book - this is a great story, with great romance and action. My favourite by this author.
Buddy Reads
Next book TBR for me - Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan or Archangel's Consort by Nalini Singh. I haven't yet sorted out my reading for June, but I really want to read both of these, and Penney kindly recommended them to me for this challenge :)
Sue's books added to my TBR pile - Snaring the Huntress by Sylvia Day. Very short - so I have added another one - Vengeance in Death by JD Robb. Coincidentally we are both at the same point in this series! I was going to give 'In Death' a rest this month as I have been averaging one a month, but I'm happy to go again if you are interested :)
Hmmmm - as I review my recommendations, only a couple of books probably qualify for the Tania category that we selected!!

Anyway good luck all and nice picks for this month :)

Oh my God, Amanda! Thanks for the great recs! I want to read them all!!
I will DEFINITELY read Darkfever as I recently got the audiobook from the library. Let's also do the buddy read for [book:Catching Fire. I loved the first book but for some reason haven't felt like reading this one. :)
I'll also see if I can get one of the funny ones from the library (either Bridget Jones or The Princess Bride.)
And tell me, why did you waste time going through my shelves? ;)
Thanks again!

Daffodil - You can set up a fourth option (or a fifth or sixth) by setting an exclusive shelf. So let's say you create a shelf called 'Interested In', set it up as 'exclusive' and then you'll have a fourth option. I have several exclusive shelves set up so my 'to read' shelf is only for books I have on hand. Then I have one for 'get from library' (books I'd like to read but can get from the library), another called 'maybe' (books I'm not sure about), another one for 'wishlist' (books not in my library which I need to buy or get from swap) etc. Neither of those books show up either in my read, to read, or currently reading shelves.

I will definitely take you up on that buddy read offer! I think it'll be my first one yet!
As for your shelves, my TBR pile thanks you or maybe not seeing as how with every PIFM challenge it gets bigger and bigger.

Sweet! Thanks for the idea. My TBR pile is getting to be a monster that I can't keep track of. I forget whichones I've seen on library lists or ones I have to look around @ half price book stores. This is an idea I can use this to sort out that monster even more.

Hi aleksandra,
Thanks for the great picks! I'll definitely read The Corset Diaries, that was mentioned in another group as a really funny book and I've been on a "lighter" type book binge lately. I also may read First Grave on the Right if my library has it. I actually did read Memoirs of a Geisha before I was on Goodreads and I really liked it (note to self to update "read" list). I've also heard good things about The Reader but that slipped under my radar when it was out. I think I may listen to the audio on that one.
Thanks again for the picks and happy reading!
