Elizabeth (Alaska) Just came across Arsène Lupin, Gentleman-Thief. Has anyone read these? Looks good, but opinions welcome!

Jill Hutchinson (bucs1960) I have read a few of the Lupin books, written by Maurice LeBlanc but it was several years ago.......they are somewhat dated as they were written in the early years of the 20th century but are still enjoyable. The Lupin character is somewhat reminiscent of the other gentleman thief, Raffles, written by Conan Doyle's brother-in-law, Arthur Hornung. There have been a couple of Lupin films made: one in the 1920s starring John Barrymore and another in 2004, filmed in France.

Elizabeth (Alaska) Thanks, Jill. I like the old stuff.

His brother Lionel was also in it - as the cop.
