I'm AJ. I've been blogging for years, but I've never actually shared any of my blogs with strangers. It's my New Year's resolution to do a better job with my book review/writing blog, so I've decided to make some changes. I mostly read YA, but my reading tastes are pretty diverse. http://ajsterkel.blogspot.com/

I post mostly YA books review.

After spending too long working as web developer, I'm now back at the typewriter.
Here are two projects I created to help fellow authors:
1. New book: "Create an Author Website - A Step-by-Step Blueprint for Busy Authors and Writers"
http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00QZBAZD0
2. Self Publishing Week - free newsletter of news and insider tips for self-publishing authors

Take a look and let me know your thoughts. Cheers.

So I'm a beginner blogger (really, really beginner)! I don't even know how to set up the blog properly, which blog site to use, etc. I've been looking around this site and see some good suggestions...too busy reading to set up the blog, but I REAL WANT TO! Anyone have any tips? Thanks for listening to me...

Thanks for having me here. Looks like a great group! I don't have a blog yet, but I'm in the midst of setting up an author website. I'm very interested in hearing other bloggers' experiences, especially those with a similar target audience. I know the consensus is that blogging is a highly effective way to build an author platform. But I’ve been putting off the time investment since I tend to think that’s not as true for authors of middle grade books (like me :) as it is for authors of an older audience. I just don’t imagine that my target audience spends much of their free time reading blogs. I also haven’t really found any aimed at that audience. I’d love to hear from any of you who are MG authors who blog what your blogging experience has been (feel free to direct me to your blogs for a look too).
Thanks!
Elle

My name is Josh and my blog is called "Caponomics." This blog is a hodge-podge of everything that crosses my mind, but I have recently concentrated on posting about books and literature. I am also active with a web show called Literary Gladiators, where we discuss and debate different works of literature.
Here is my blog: http://caponomics.blogspot.com/

This is very similar to what I am interested in. I enjoy reading and writing horror the most, but I like speculative works that take on the feeling of The Twilight Zone, in addition to literary works with elements of existentialism and absurdist tone. I am also broadening my horizons with literature in general.

My name is Mary-Jane Melrose (aka M.J.Melrose ) I'm a writer living in a magical world where mythological beings and magic exists. I have an extraordinary imagination, which has taken me to places no ordinary mortal has been.
Magical worlds to me have become a second home – these worlds are a special place that I like to visit whenever I crave magic. These worlds give me the chance to explore the unimaginable, meet mythical creatures and become someone completely different. (Come on who doesn't want to meat mythical Gods who can hypnotize you and make you fall in love with them in an instant.)
