Angie (seren-lucy) | 1147 comments Any suggestions for reading challenges for June? An idea I have is to read a classic - a book that has been around for many decades and is still lovingly read.

Angie (seren-lucy) | 1147 comments Your reading challenges for June... if you choose to accept them!
1. Read or re-read a classic.
2. Read a book that has been sitting in your bookcase for many years and remains unread.
3. Read a book that has been recommended by an on-line book club.
You can either read one or two books that cover all three of the challenges, read one book for each challenge, or choose one or two of the challenges.
Up to you how you make it work for you.
Most importantly, enjoy!
Oh, and I'd love to hear which books/challenges you decide on.

Angie (seren-lucy) | 1147 comments Thanks for sharing your books Angt27. I read Jane Eyre at high school and remember adoring it. I plan to read it again some day soon. I also read To Kill a Mockingbird at high school and re-read it for this challenge. I think I appreciated it more second time around. I haven't heard of the other two books on your list. Will check them out.

Angt27 I've finished Mohammed Maguire and hopefully you can find the review here
Mohammed Maguire
I think there was a reason that this sat so long on my bookshelf!

I've read To Kill a Mockingbird several times and every time I really enjoy it.

Angie (seren-lucy) | 1147 comments To Kill a Mockingbird - very much enjoyed the second time round. The Thirteenth Tale - will definitely re-read this. Highly recommend it. A Visit from the Goon Squad - snuck this one in but not overly impressed even though it is the latest Pulitzer prize winner. Still need to read Wild Swans but it is on hold while I read Pride and Prejudice on my new iPhone! Can't wait to read the final book in both The Hunger Games trilogy and The Millenium trilogy too....
