What is the definition of Sci-Fi? I don't generally read them but am reading one that takes place in the future would that qualify?

The Romance 101 has a link to the definitions of the various romance genres. You should check that out for a definition.

Without knowing what your book is, it is hard to say if it is Sci-fi... I suspect being just futuristic may not be enough...
