Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I found this website called Which Book that helps you pick your next book by selecting your mood or character, plot, setting.

In this view, you move the scale toward one or the other option

In this view, you click on specifics you're searching for in your next book

I wasn't able to make more than 3-4 selections for each on the first view. I'm guessing they must have a limit on the variables? Not sure. But, still an interesting tool if you're at a loss for what to read next.

Using the 2nd view, you can select "non-human" for character and some books I recognize and/or have read popped up.

Judithe | 6566 comments Gave it a try with "character" (female, straight, non-human) and some of the choices it gave me were:
(some I have on TBR, some that look interesting, and liked the reader comments~though deleted most from here for space!)
Interesting & fun!

You might expect the story of a female werecat desperate for independence to break the mould. But, if you exchange cats for mafiosi, what you have is a familiar story. Still, there are plenty of thrills along the way and intriguing descriptions of how cats would perceive the world if they had human intelligence. Oh, and plenty of sex and violence! One for ladettes?.

Would you believe that the end of the world could be caused by Apollo refusing to heat up Aphrodite's bath water? And that Zeus thinks that Dr Who is a God? Do you get embarrassed at rolling around laughing in public? If you answered yes to the first two questions and no to the third, then this is the book for you. And if you answered no to the first two questions and yes to the third, watch out for thunderbolts.

Steph (angel4492) | 32703 comments I just checked it out and it does look a lot better. I'll have to play around with their gauges a bit to see what pops up.
