Dana Does anyone have ideas on how public libraries can circulate this book with the trading cards? I'm guessing that the numbers on the cards are good for only one person/one account...?

I'm curious to hear about what kids might be missing if they get the book from the library and can't do anything online.

Of course, once the site is allowing us to sign in, maybe it will be clearer.

Thanks!

Mischa I am reading this book, and I for one think this is one of the best books I have ever read. I think you should take the trading cards out. Tell the kids that if they want the trading cards, go buy the book it's only like 12 dollars.

You can play an online game with the trading cards, but I think its kind of pointless. The book is awesome and the multi-platform stuff kind of ruins the books, I think.

Morgan The site says to share the codes with your friends - so I don't see anyting wrong with circulating the cards with the books.

Angela The library I work at is circulating the book with the trading cards. One of the cards shows through the front making the cover.

Rachel Our school library has taken the cards out and allows students to check them out at the same time as the book.

I just read the story, though, and I don't think you really need them in order to comprehend the story.

Rachel Just a heads up that there is also a library edition that comes without cards.
