Great film too- O"Henry's Full House- have the DVD- any film with Oscar Levant is a must for me!! He is in the Ranson for Red Chief segment with Fred Allen!

love Levant's books- rare for a personality to be exactly the same on screen as off..but that was Oscar!!



Recall reading these three when I was in High School..think I was ONLY one in my entire school who knew who Oscar Levant was!

Oh my gosh, Fred Allan, and Alan's Alley, I remember the radio show and listening to it with my grandad. Priceless moments for a kid.

I recently returned to the wildness of Northumberland and had a two week solitary experience with just a fountain pen and wild birds for company. I lived just 30 yards from the edge of the North Sea. Some pictures and words here:
