M (readergirl67) Is this just a book for you? Do you want one out of the books we have discussed in the group?

I highly recommend (if you haven't read them):
-City of Bones, City of Ashes, City of Glass...
-Anything by Meg Cabot
-or Sarah Dessen
-Water for Elephants
-Blue Bloods
-Thirteen Reasons Why

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) I recommend Shrinking Violet (Sorry I don't really know how to add in links)
The Summoning or The Gathering
Definitely some of Meg Cabot's stuff
Looking for Alaska
A Certain Slant of Light
Deadly Little Secret

M (readergirl67) To link to books on goodreads, when you are going to write the title, click "add book/author", find you book (some weird coding comes up) and just keep typing as normal.

The Hunger Games is pretty good, too.

message 5: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Thanks. I'll change it.

message 6: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) It doesn't matter if you don't do it, though.

I like how goodreads has changed their interface to look almost exactly like facebook. except in beige.

message 7: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) xD I don't have FB so I really don't know... I've got issues with that website.

message 8: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (havoc14) | 10 comments I don't have a faceBook eaither. I kinda think the whole idea's stupid, there's nothing I would want to say to someone online I would rather say to their face.

message 9: by Sarah (new)

Sarah (havoc14) | 10 comments *Wouldn't* Sorry. Wouldn't rather say to their face.

message 10: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Same. The only time I use email and msn is to talk to people that i don't usually talk to or for very late night group projects.

message 11: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) Well, compare the logo-y things. Goodreads is the same style as facebook. Also, how they moved the search box so it is in the same place as facebook's search box.

anyways, back on topic...
no offense, but WHO are we looking for a book for? the whole group or just Sally?

message 12: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) me thinks just Sally, but we can do a general suggestion, neh?

message 13: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) sure. I think we actually have suggested a number of books already...

message 14: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) At least 18 so far. ^^

message 15: by Sally (new)

Sally | 11 comments thank you:)

message 16: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Any time!

message 17: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) hope this helped!!! our whole rambling on thing...

message 18: by [deleted user] (new)

O.K. I love Harry Potter. But if you don't have interest in it then The Hunger Games I've only read the first but it was great!

message 19: by Sαmαnthα (new)

Sαmαnthα (smyeres117) You should try:
Harry Potter
The Hunger Games
Thirteen Reasons Why
You might like Sarah Dessen, too.

message 21: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) OOH the The Iron King and it's series are awesome ^^

message 22: by Vish (new)

Vish L (vertimus) | 56 comments Can someone recommend me a mystery, suspence novel with no hint of paranormalcy, and the main character being a male (plz?)

message 23: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Sherlock Holmes? or Agatha Christie's ABC murders :P thosre are both epic mystery classics... Edogawa Rampo has a good mystery series too, but it's hard to find a copy in english. :P

message 24: by Vish (new)

Vish L (vertimus) | 56 comments i was thinking more on the lines of Tom Clancy and Alistais Mclean

message 25: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) Hey, you asked. The only mysteries I read are classics and mangas... ^^ The classics are good though, you should try them. They're better than the ones I saw it the library called "Carrot Cake Murder"... that made me hungrier than thinking it was about a murder...

message 26: by Vish (new)

Vish L (vertimus) | 56 comments alright alright...:)

message 27: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) :P I'm reading Outside In right now, and it has so many plot twists I'm sure that the plot line is pretzel shaped or something... ^^

message 28: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) have you read Poison study by the same author? IT IS AWESOME!

message 29: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) fantasy, and an epic one at that... i didn't like the glass series as much, and the Inside Out series isn't nearly as awesome. and just so you know I LOVE VALEK! ^^

message 30: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) you'd better!

message 31: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) Yeah, I didn't read that, but I heard (not sure where) that it was amazing.

message 32: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) it is! and so is a book called Iron King! ^^

message 33: by Alicia (last edited Sep 22, 2011 04:43PM) (new)

Alicia Varone | 2 comments My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult is the book I am reading at the moment. A series that I also highly recommend is the Missing Persons Case by M.E Rabb.

message 34: by SQUEAK! (Lisa) (new)

SQUEAK! (Lisa) (fictionheart) I just finished reading The Truth about Forever and it was a really good read, actually had some deep meaning stuff in it.

message 35: by M (new)

M (readergirl67) Yeah, Sarah Dessen is great!
And Jodi Picoult too, but her books are a bit repetitive.
