New Zombie Apocalypse Trilogy

I have to ask, as a fellow zombie dude, what movie or book has inspired you the most with your zombie story, and have you played any of the zombie video games they have out yet? I would have to highly recommend Plants Vs Zombies to you...it is so much fun and great to play with or against others with.

I both praise and curse the day my friend Jay - one of the writing duo known as J. K. Barber - told me about Plants Vs. Zombies. I now have it on three PC's, my iPhone, and my iPad. *sigh*
As to inspiration, I have to give credit to the godfather of zombies, Mr. George A. Romero, without whom I would never have known what a zombie was.
I can't say that any one particular movie or book inspired me in particular any more than the others, really. I've always been a fan of apocalyptic fiction, and zombies, and sci-fi, and it just sorta fused together one day... and this book and the two planned sequels was the result.
That said, my favorite zombie movie would be "Shaun of the Dead" (I'm a huge Anglophile) and for non-comedy zombie movie would have to be Romero's original "Night of the Living Dead".

I will check your book out and review it at a few places this way it can get out there and hopefully, after taking away your Plants Vs Zombies, you can write the next book in the trilogy :o)
As for George A. Romero, you are right he is the godfather of the genre. To this day Night of the Living Dead is one of my favs. and Shawn of The Dead was a hoot. Did you know those 2 guys were in Land Of The Dead as well?
Well, great meeting you and I look forward to reading your book.

lol Yeah, I knew they showed up as zombies in Land of the Dead. I thought that was pretty cool. I cast Pegg as the lead in the movie version of my book over at Storycasting.com.

My kids and I have been talking and think Pop Cap should get with a production company and put out an animated series based off of Plants Vs Zombies.
There's some pictures somewhere online my wife found of someone that made giant lawn decorations of all the Plants Vs Zombies characters and even made big bright wooden suns that they hung on their house...very cool looking.
I figured you had to know about the Land of the Dead thing. Actually I am getting ready to watch Night of the Living Dead tonight. My wife got me the 40th anniversary edition for our anniversary this past weekend...so excited :o)

My name is Jason Kristopher, and I'm the author of:
Almost without exception, those who've read it tell me it's like watching a zombie movie. Here's the blurb:
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I didn't see Rebecca die the second time."
The United States military hides a secret: the completely real existence of eat-your-brains, one-bite-and-you're-dead zombies. The Army has known they exist for over a hundred years, and has been quietly and expertly keeping the secret.
Until now.
His hometown destroyed, with everyone he has ever known dead and gone, the sole survivor of the massacre at Fall Creek joins a secret military group to combat the single greatest threat our world has ever faced. Unfortunately, his help may come too late. Even as victories over the walkers mount, the seeds of our ultimate doom are sown from within, and at the last, only a brave few may survive to carry on.
It's the first in a trilogy (as soon as I write the next two) and I'm very excited to finally get it out to my readers...
Still sounds a bit weird, "my readers." I'm still trying to get used to the idea that I'm a published author.
The book is available on Amazon in both Kindle and print versions. I also have a Q&A board here on GR, and I'm doing a GR Giveaway of the book as well.
Feel free to ask me any questions, and if you read it, please post a review on Amazon. Thanks!
