Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I click over to the reviews page of this book on Amazon.com. It never fails to make me laugh. This was voted hands-down the worst book in a poll conducted by the Betsy-Tacy listserv. After hearing various descriptions of this book, I decided to keep away. I didn't want my memory of the original to be tainted. But, God, do I appreciate those angry reviews.
