Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 8 comments I hear a lot of good things about the Emerald Atlas. I was wondering if anyone had read it?

LauraW (lauralynnwalsh) | 130 comments I have it on audio and so far have been only moderately impressed. In fact, I had to look it up on Amazon to remember what the story was about. That said, I also have to add that I am a multiple story reader - I read dozens of books at a time, depending on momentary interest and motivation, so it isn't unusual that I have to refresh my memory. Still, some stories are more memorable than others. (I just finished listening to the third Penderwicks book on audio and can tell you all of the plot of that one.)

Carl Ashmore (carlashmore) | 8 comments Interesting. I've heard great things about it. I would struggle to read multiple books at the same time. I'm a man and therefore multi-tasking is alien to me :)

Wilhelmina Jenkins | 229 comments I haven't read it yet, but I purchased it for my 9-year-old grandson for his birthday. He's working on another birthday gift, The Throne of Fire, the sequel to The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan, as well as continuing Erin Hunter's Warriors series, so it may take him a while. Then I'll get my turn!

The Emerald Atlas looks to me like a cross between Lemony Snicket and Charlie Bone and so many other popular stories right now. If there's nothing that makes it stand out from the others, I'd pass.

Pauline | 1 comments I found it to be boring and definitely not up to all the hype. Try The Cabinet of Wonders: The Kronos Chronicles: Book I (Kronos Chronicles Trilogy) by Marie Rutkoski instead, it is wonderful!

Brenda | 192 comments I have it on audio but have not stared it yet. Still finishing up other books at the moment. Hadn't heard of The Cabinet of Wonders but will have to look for it, it does sound interesting.
